We stayed here for 2 nights in August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owners are very attentive and have great knowledge of the area. Positives: -Surroundings are great if you are a nature lover. All you can see is trees, even the view from the restaurant is all green -Plenty of parking. Well it's a rural hotel after all, so yes, parking won't be a problem. There are also plenty of signs once you start approaching the main town so that you don't miss the turn to the hotel. -when you do find the turn, just keep driving in the stone-path until the very end. A car is essential for this place. -Dinner (had dinner both nights) was very good. Though the menu isn't extensive, it has a bit of everything and there's a lot of care and thought going into their dishes -Breakfast was good too, good choice and replenished frequently enough. -Owners were very welcoming -Wifi worked well -Newly refurbished bathroom -Common areas -we didn't use them but I'm sure kids would have enjoyed the games room Negatives: -Only major point that I would highlight is that there could be faint noises heard from other rooms (some guests TV could be heard, shower noises, etc) -The rooms aren't very bright and sunny, as other reviewers have pointed out, but this is an old construction so it is understandable. There was a floor lamp that made up for the lack of natural light. -Also, there was a table and chairs outside our bathroom window which I think were from the bar/restaurant area (???) strange place for people to sit and have a drink. Overall, I'd recommend this place for nature lovers and food enthusiasts.

Beautiful place in a very peaceful location. The building is amazing, well heated even though it's made of stone. The bedroom and bathroom were rustic but modern and very clean! The food in the restaurant was really nice and they also had a game room with a table football, cards, and an XBox if you fancy for those rainy evenings! The landlord was really helpful giving advice on places to visit. The price was reasonable and totally worth it. If you want to move around you definitely need a car with remote wifi connection as this little village is quite far from any main cities, the roads are quite curvy and sometimes narrow, it was a real driving experience! Having remote wifi was really helpful. From La Tahona we visited many towns (Covadonga, Celorio, Barro, Poo...which apart from having a very curious name, if you're English, it also has a very nice beach!) but in doubt ask in the hotel for advice. The Picos de Europa are quite close but unfortunately when we were there it was too foggy to see and decided to leave it for our next holiday! After La Tahona we travelled to Somiedo and went trekking to the glacial lakes, it was a wonderful experience. We would totally recommend this Casa Rural and will definitely come back soon!

“Good value for money”

Good size room but with lack of lightening. Almost all the time the room smelled like fried stuff because it was located above the kitchen. The breakfast was good but simple - tosts with jam/ tomato and olive/ scrambled eggs + bacon and coffee with milk/ tea.
