“In the heart of Basque country”
We stayed at the Hotel Konbenio one night over Easter weekend on a visit to Bilbao, which is just barely 20 minutes away. “Clean, calm, good price, friendly hosts!”
Don´t be deterred by some critics which seem to be either malicious or to have a disturbed perception. The hotel had OLD handmade wooden furniture and doors in my room, polished OLD wooden floors and was clean everwhere. I felt at home! “Nice building, but a lot of noise!”
The building itself is nice, looks like an old castle, especially the lobby. The owner is courteous and friendly. My room was clean and big enough, but it must have been the darkest room I have ever seen. There are only three bedside lamps for the whole room. Makes it hard to see inside the closet!… more
