We very much enjoyed our time at this hotel but I’m going to do something I don’t usually Pros: *Great location *So clean, I can’t emphasise this enough. *Very modern decor *Good wifi * comfy bed *Good communication * walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go * supermarket literally next door * super lively surrounding street. Cons: *I had to keep asking for emails/communication in English, they kept sending it in German, I’m Australian * noisy inside the room. We could hear our neighbours talk, listen to music, shower at 1am 😩 * we kept hearing a noise when we arrived, mid afternoon, and thought it was construction work ,turns out it was the hot water system.

“Nice hotel in the Old Town”

Nice hotel on the first floor of an old house in the Old Town. The hosts were delightful and very helpful with what was going on in Bilbao. The room was small but comfortable. Nice hotel on the first floor of an old house in the Old Town. The hosts were delightful and very helpful with what was going on in Bilbao. The room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was pokey with a temperamental toilet hence the 4 stars not 5 stars. Also were told it had a patio..it essentially had window doors which opened onto the roof of the ceiling below which was not accessible due to a balcony grill and a window box. Coffee was freshly made for guests which was delightful but had to go out for breakfast. Easy walking access to the sights of the city and also the Guggenheim just down the river

“Exceeded our expectations by Far!!”

Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess and host and the check in was very quick and efficient. We were also offered to select our room from two different rooms that were presented. The hostess suggested us to visit Victor pintxos bar/restaurant, at Plaza Nueva 2, and taste their award winning pintxos. She also made a very informative sketch of the Bilbao river mouth for visits to nice small villages along the coast that are easily reached by the metro. We very much appreciated the light do- it- yourself breakfast that was offered free of charge. For a breakfast with more alternatives that was a grocery store nearby. The room was well equipped and suited all our wishes for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The location of Blue Bilbao in the old area Casco Viejo with pedestrian streets is perfect. There are so many lovely and tasty pintxos bars/restaurant in the neighborhood – the area of Casco Viejo must be the perfect place for pintxos lovers! The Blue Bilbao offers very good value for the money!
