This hotel has much going for it. It is very well placed in the old town, the rooms are large, very clean and a good specification, it is cheap and represents very good value for money, 160 Euros for two room for 2 nights without breakfast. Booking.com states that the hotel has parking which it doesn't. There is a municipal underground car park near by which is accessible and costs a maximum of 18 Euros a day. There is a lot of noise from the square where people arrive throughout the night to shout at each other and presumably then go on somewhere else to do it and then return about 45 minutes later to repeat the exercise. Customer service is 'unusual' of the 'prison guard' approach to guests, checking in is like an interrogation of what you mustn't do and the penalties imposed if you do. Guest information is similarly a list of dos and don'ts. Not much of a welcome! Get a few smiley people on the desk and a pleasant approach to guests (the clues in the word here) and it could be a very good hotel. Should try harder.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while walking the Camino de Santiago - we took a rest day in Leon to do some sightseeing. The hotel location is very good - central, short walk to most of the sights in Leon, but on a relatively quiet side street. We did have a little trouble finding the hotel at first - there is kind of a jog in the street where it changes names. Once we found it though, it was very convenient. The hotel itself is fine - standard hotel, clean rooms, reasonably comfortable. Nothing out of the every day, but no complaints either. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, although when we left at 7am that morning, no one was at the front desk, so we weren't quite sure what to do with our keys.
