Warm, welcoming family-run establishment with characterful buildings set in gorgeous grounds. Had everything we needed including coffee machine! Lovely views out of every window. Dinner in wine cellar was perfect!

Excellent establishment. I dont know which was the best; the location, the staff/service or the area. We stayed for two nights, but regretted staying so few. There is much to explore in the area, particulary the wine yards. The owner of Masia Can Canyes was very helpful in reserven a wine tasting in the nearby town, as well as a taxi for both drop off and pick up. The only improvement would be the dinner food. While the breakfast was splendid, and the dinner had a promising menu - it lacked flavor and was a bit bland. I would instead recommend you visit the local cafe, which had terrrific tapas that felt both genuine aswell as rich of flavor. All in all, this place is a must visit if in the area - and I would say its even worth sacrificing a few days in Barcelona to visit Maisa Can Canyes instead .

“Lovely stay”

Beautiful location right in the middle of vineyards. Super relaxing and fantastic service by owners, highly recommended for a nice rest. The restaurant was nice but we could have done with bigger portions, a bit pricey for what you get, rooms are simply perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay

Well, well, well....a 5* rural resort it is NOT, as some webpages suggest. For the prices often charged, one would really like to feel a little happier about some aspects of the local reality such as easier parking, more comfortable seating, better noise insulation, a more spacious breakfast area including freshly brewed coffee availability. This place is rustic indeed, and much as one may love the feeling of olde-worlde charm up to a point, the prices charged for accommodation, spa and restaurant, are anything but olde worlde. Prices do vary and seem to change incredibly quickly perhaps depending on day, week, month or momentary cashflow requirements. I find that type of business strategy disconcerting and in poor taste (lack of class) specially when dealing with 'better class tourism', and not supermarket or gas station purchases. It just doesn't feel right when you're led to believe you're dealing with old world charm in a nice & peaceful country setting. The overall impression we were left with was one of the owners' re-investing as little as possible in infrastructure renovation or improvements, while charging as much as possible from starry eyed tourists. Sorry to say this, because there are indeed some positive elements that may persuade one to revisit; such as the spa (pretty good even at 60€ for 2 people, since during the 1 hour reserved time, it is private then!). The location is lovely, specially once the vines come alive, and the views quite splendid, even though not spectacular. The farm creatures, donkeys, geese, goats etc. are great to observe, just watch your step(s), droppings abound. The 'once upon a time' wine cellar come Restaurant is ok, but the white lighting could be a bit more subdued. The menu is about passable, prices relative to servings a trifle on the 'Catalan' side of fair. The service is good though, as is the general level of simpatico ambience. A lift would be welcomed though as well as a few generally improved comfort and safety details all around. But then I suspect the present owners are not professinal hoteliers. After a good many years in the tourism branch, I would class this as a max. 3 stars establishment with a few 4* elements 'borrowed', such as the spa.
