⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think that the location of the hostel is of five star quality because you can park just outside. You can't park close by many of the other hotels and hostels in this cute medieval village. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The service is also impeccable. The heating (so necessary in the freezing month of February in Extremadura!) in our first room didn't work, so we were given another, better room where the heating worked. ⭐⭐⭐ There are no official front desk/reception, but the staff (that were also bar/waiter staff for the restaurant) were effective in helping us checking in and out. ⭐⭐ The shower could be improved by a shower curtain and a shower mat. Rather impossible to take a shower without getting water everywhere and it creates a super slippery surface. Also, you could hear EVERYTHING from the activities of the other guests. Bring earplugs! ⭐ Nothing here is of one star quality.

give it 3 stars purely on cleanliness and location alone. I called a day ahead and was told they have a private room for 2 nights so I made a reservation. I've been walking the Camino and my foot hurt horribly and I wanted something right near the sights where I wouldn't have to walk too much and where I could get good wifi so I could relax and Skype with friends abroad (albergues are notorious for horrible wifi). I arrived, paid and was just shown my room and handed a keychain with 2 keys. In my hurry to relax, I didn't notice there were 2 keys and didn't think about the fact I had to be buzzed in downstairs. I was also just hurriedly told that showers and bathrooms were down the hall. I asked if there'd be Issues possibly staying another night. The lady said after the 2nd night, all private rooms were taken (relevant to story, I swear!). So I go to bathroom... no signs or pictures that I saw saying whether ladies or men's. Noticed a man inside so kind of figured it out. I went out to explore León and when I came back, I tried the second key when I kept pressing for buzzer to let me in downstairs (the hostel is on 3rd floor of building) and wasn't being let in. So I stayed down until someone came outside over 20 mins later. Come to find out, there's a code everyone but me apparently was told to get in the front door. During all this, I'm dealing with pressing charges against an abuser from when I was a kid and barely slept the first night. But woke up happy knowing I had an entire day to just relax (I'd bought food and everything the day before so could just elevate foot and sleep) only to be told as I was leaving out the door that they had made a mistake and overbooked. Because the other people were a group, I apparently was the one who had to leave even though I was there already. She said she found a place for me at another hostel and it's "cheaper" and would refund me. Come to find out, it's away from the main area and not in the nicest area. And not a hostel but an albergue with not so good wifi. And took a while for me to find it so €8 cheaper wasn't "cheaper" considering time and major inconvenience. And now I'm stuck caring for foot without being able to handle business matters easily online and albergues don't open until later so most of my day has been taken up by this as I had to wait for place to open (and their checkout is much much earlier as I was intending on staying another night so irritating as I can't sleep in). The lack of care I experienced here has given me a horrible taste in my mouth and I'd never come back. They get away with it based on location really. I'd give it 1 star otherwise.
