“Great location”

We had wonderful stay..... Excellent location with lot of attraction near by Calm and quiet place and our kids really enjoyed the atmosphere... Rooms are spacious but wifi connection is poor also food is not up to the mark.

We were a family of five camping in a tent. I so want to write a glowing review of camping berau, there is a lot to love. The lakeside location is wonderful, the walk to strobl is beautiful and St Wolfgang a lovely place. The onsite pizzeria is really delicious. And being able to hire SUP from the beach bar also great. However the road right next to the campsite is surprisingly noisy, and so was the site, there was noise until late each night and from v early in the morning. Also, the pitches are tiny and far, far too close together. You feel you are on top of your neighbours. The sense of busy Ness and the noise meant I didn't find this a relaxing coming experience despite all the positives. We wouldn't return. It may be better in a motorhome or caravan.

“Nice but hardly lake-facing, you could only get a glimpse from balcony corner”

We had a smooth check in. This was by far the most expensive property we had booked for 3 nights in st. wolfgangsee assuming it will give us a clear lake view. We had a smooth check in. This was by far the most expensive property we had booked for 3 nights in st. wolfgangsee assuming it will give us a clear lake view. However the lake was barely visible from a corner of the front balcony outside the cottage. Cottage was not as big as it was shown on the booking portal. they had all the basics including a private sauna in the bathroom and a separate additional toilet. Really loved the first night in the restaurant with live band playing great music of 70s. I just feel the price was steep considering its not genuinely a lake view cottage and is more of a popular camping ground with scores of camping vans parked all around. the place has washing machine facilities at extra cost and reception is attentive and courteous

First of all the lovely restaurant manager with short-blonde hair who helped to save my puppy when she swallowed something poisonous. Christmas Eve and no shops or vets open we called our vet who urged us to get her eating some leinsamen. So a run to the kitchen and I found this lady answering the door to me... she got me the leinsamen, puppy was sick, then pooped and she was fine! Ah I was so worried. This was amazing for me. In terms of the lodge I found it contradictory, it was very beautiful and lovely views but then the WiFi was useless, the kitchen equipment wasn’t in very good condition and crying out for a swap out - new knife block, couple of pans, plates, cups and cutlery from ikea would send a much better message than some of this stuff. One of the knives is all twisted up. Just throw it away! We can’t use it and it’s a terrible message to send to the guests. It’s nature outside... so get a big doormat inside. We stepped in on the first night and already we are making this nice clean and tiled apartment a mess. Put a hook in the toilet for the hand towel! What is it going to do on the windowsill? But then the wet room and Sauna are lovely and the bedroom with balcony is so nice and peaceful. The mattress is quite soft in my room and kind of sloped down on my side... one of the nice things about holiday accommodation is a nice bed! It’s like the place needs a fresh pair of eyes and €250 spent on it. Maybe it’s because we are out of season - I could understand that but it’s a bit hard as we paid €250 per night so I think some of these basics ought to be better. It is a great location for a Winter Wanderung and I bet it’s amazing in Summer. I absolutely want that to come across. The staff were friendly, helpful and indeed heroic as mentioned above. I cannot fault this. We also enjoyed going to all the local Christmas markets; there was a great Austrian restaurant in Strobl and we also went up to Salzburg which is nice but parking is hard - better to take the park and ride. The dogs loved it. I had a good time. My family had a good time. I managed to cook a pretty good Christmas Dinner but I could so have used a non-stick pan and a decent knife! Ok that’s my feedback. I would stay again but hopefully there is a bit of TLC happening in the meantime; hotel/site managers - come and have a look around the lodges, make a snag list and I think you see what I mean about the message some things send to the guest. Thank you again, so much to the lady who helped save my puppy.
