I last minute booking and one of the only available rooms around due to a big concert nearby. We were told it was an economy room, so weren’t expecting much. The bathroom was ‘interesting’ you have to move the sink wall to expose the small shower. It was ok, until I found old sweet wrappers under the bed - I always check under the bed to make sure I haven’t lost a sock under there. The bedside table also had a very large sticky stain on it. Ew. So the cleaning was not good. Breakfast very average.

“Nice location, warm hotel”

Free parking about 100 meters from the hotel if you asked for a parking permit from the hotel. We got a room right at the door into the hallway. However, we weren't disturbed by that because we had a fan going at full speed in the the room, it was very hot. Comfortable beds and a decent breakfast.

“Nice hotel with great location”

Stayed here for one night. Located in the middle of town about 5-10 min walk from the town centre where all the restaurants and shops are. Possible to park on the street in front of the hotel which is good. Good service, clean room. Would stay there again.

Simple hotel without any fuzz. No views or anything - but fine if you just search for a good nights sleep without getting ruined. A little bit off the absolute center, but Halmstad is small and easily walkable. Perfect for an overnight stay. Everything you basically need is there. Comfortable, but narrow, beds. Small bathrooms. Surprisingly good breakfast with herring, eggs (boiled and scrambled), cold cuts, pancakes etc. Kind staff, who also can provide you with a drink and snacks from the "lobby bar". Generally nice, very affordable and recommended for what it is...

The position of this hotel is pretty good. It is quite central and at walking distance from restaurants and the city center. We could park with the car on the street, which was not exactly close to the hotel but close enough. The instructions from the staff were though a bit unclear, but we figured it out anyway. Otherwise, the check in went smooth and we entered the hotel, that still has some details from the 50-60s (I guess), like for example the interior of the elevator and some detail in the corridor. I had a room on the 4th floor. The wifi worked very well, the room was quite ok in size. It lacked an hanger for the coat and a place where to put the bags. There was a quite ok desk and the bed was pretty comfortable. Unfortunately it was a rainy day and the rain disturbed my sleep although I kept the window closed. The bathroom was very tiny. It took a while to realize that the shower was just above the sink and in order to take a shower one has to move a wall somehow. It was also a bit interesting to figure out how to open the tap water without getting water everywhere. The room was reasonably clean, the bathroom could get a touch of freshness (well, it wouldn't help with the strange construction: it felt like being on a night train). Breakfast was very swedish oriented with not a major choice of food to eat, but quite the essential. Getting a tray can be comfortable but give a bit "canteen" sensation. I didn't eat much breakfast that day for a reason or another. What I took was quite ok, but I still think that having a real coffee in the morning (and not one from the machine) is a nice touch in every hotel. The interior of the breakfast restaurant was a bit obsolete, still giving the canteen sensation. Alltogether the stay at this hotel was quite alright. It didn't exceed expectations, but it met at least the comfort of a decent bed where to sleep, which is something people should not underestimate, although this is not a fancy place to stay.
