Gorgeous chalet rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Each room offers stunning views. Comfortable bed but the continental pillows are very flat (I folded mine in half to optimise height.) Breakfast is available and is adequate. Staff are accommodating and helpful. There is a bus (2 stops) to take into Interlaken town centre and railway station. The only negative is that the rooms aren't soundproof. Although there was no noise I could detect from the room next door, the room above was a different story. As the floors are wooden, every footstep was noticeable and with a family of 4 above me, there were many footsteps. Once everyone settled for the evening, the room was quiet however (but this wasn't until after 11pm for the duration of my stay.)

Stayed at the Gasthof Schoenegg B&B for 3 nights in Apr and had a wonderful experience staying in a wooden home. Coming from the city, we had never stayed in a wooden home before and this was the first time for us. We've been to Europe more than 10 times and we've often wondered how it would be to stay in some countryside amongst the mountains. As we were looking for a pet-friendly establishment and the Gasthof Schoenegg allow pets, we decided to give it a try. Although it is situated some distance away from the nearest town, it is not a problem if you're driving as the nearest town is about 8-10mins away. As we were there is Apr, the weather was cooling and we can still see snow-capped mountains in the Swiss Alps. As we were staying on the 2nd floor that faces the mountain, we had a great view whenever we woke up. However, lugging the luggage up may be challenging for some. Breakfast is provided and since it was near Easter, the establishment had coloured Easter Eggs for breakfast amongst the usual bread and ham. The dining area is only open for breakfast. However, if we need to bring our own food back to the hotel, we can dine at the dining room. Just need to make sure we clean up the place ourselves as the owners will not be there to clean up after you. The B&B has a huge parking lot and parking is free. There is a convenience store nearby within walking distance, but it closes relatively early. So, if you need to buy some snacks or groceries, make sure you do it early. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Gasthof Schoenegg. It was a pleasant and enjoyable stay and we hope other B&B establishments are as good as this.

Lovely little B&B just one bus stop away on the 102 service from Interlaken Ost. Friendly check in. Rooms 14 and 17. Note: no lift so carry luggage up / down stairs. No aircon. Not an issue but mentioned for balanced review purposes. Room 14 on the road side and in the shade so cooler during a hot September stay. Room 17 had windows that fully open on 2 sides to reveal a wonderful Mountain View and of the main river. Traditional wood panelled walls / ceilings. Small bathroom with shower unit. Shared fridge downstairs (label your own drinks / food), terrace seating area outside for breakfast or evenings etc. Breakfast basic but ok. 102 bus service runs early morning until late evening every 30 mins in both directions and the bus stop was a 3 min walk away. All in all a lovely stay. We look forward to returning here!

Excellent breakfast to-go. Very filling & efficiently prepared as requested. Washing machine available. Clean room with beddings & bath essentials; spacious triple-sharing. Your reception staff needs to be more welcoming to your guest. From a long travel, we arrived early. The staff named Esther (May 11, 2025) was very rude in her approach to us. We were not insistent on checking-in. Just asking questions before we headed out. Hoping for a friendlier welcome.
