I have recently returned from staying at this fabulous hotel. I have read previous reviews about it, good and bad, and I’m not sure where the bad reviews come from? The staff are all polite, and extremely friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. There are notices everywhere about the ventilation and heating system, so why are people complaining ? It’s quiet, there is a little plane noise, but you don’t notice it after an hour or so, It’s spotlessly clean everywhere. We cannot fault this hotel in any way, it’s a shame that the hotels in Britain aren’t up to this Swiss standard. 10/10

Nope, this is a Hotel we will NOT choose again. Let's take things from the beginning. Upon our arrival the welcoming at the reception was very friendly and polite. As the room Was not ready yet,we decided to eat something at the restaurant. We ordered ghe Caesar salad as the choice is very poor. Well, at least the salad really was good and Ibrahim was a very polite service. The room was a so called Deluxe Room, which had nothing to do with deluxe. No tea, no kettle, only a small plastic bottle of water for two, hair and stains on the bed sheet and it was so cold in the room. And as many others wrote before us, of course they did not do anything. We got a second duvet and a second heater. Breakfast was very good though and once again a very friendly Ibrahim, whom we liked a lot - He is the good spirit of the restaurant! The quality of the hotel room is poor and the heating system even poorer. Outside we had 7°C and inside 18,6°C. I really wonder how they got 4 Stars!! This is no 4 Star Hotel!! We payed to much for this poor quality.

Firstly on the plus side, the location is fabulous by the lake ( though not on the shoreline) and the transport links are good, with a handy train station and bus stop where you can use the very useful travel card that comes with the stay with no charge. We were told get the 50 would get us from the airport but not which stop - you need versoix station next to Aldi. The hotel itself is clean , modern and very basic. Don’t expect too many comfy seats end even though we had a penthouse mini suite, with a great balcony, it felt very cold and only a sofa as concession to comfort. They only supply two coffee pods per day and no tea for the room ( or milk) so it works if you like limited black coffee. The staff were usually helpful but it’s the first time in a restaurant I’ve been asked “ why are you hungry “ when discussing possible side for our main meal. Food was a good standard but limited choice and felt like dining in a good cafe rather than a “ nice “ restaurant. The decking next to the hotel we thought was by the lake from the preamble is in fact on a shared decking next to the hotel and with a decent view of the lake but not close. Seats out there were not designed to make us feel comfortable but if look in the corner there is one small sofa which is good. So wonderful location with good access to the fascinating city of Geneva and beyond via the rail network but basic.
