Excellent location. Right by hiking paths, and just 6 minutes walk to bus stop with free travel throughout the entire St. Moritz region. My extended stay package gave me free rail and gondola travel as well, worth at least $100 (per day, if you had the energy). Nice balcony. Excellent entertainment options in basement. Spa is over-rated, closes way too early, and can't be enjoyed in its last hour as staff are spray cleaning floors every evening at that time. Also, "sauna" in changing room is an afterthought and certainly not relaxing, and "hot tub" was same temp as swimming pool. Note, parking charge of CHF14 per day. Also, bring your own coffee, because each pod, except on day of arrival, costs you CHF1. A very shortsighted management decision - when I asked for decaf, the surly check-in clerk (typically Swiss, I have been told), said condescendingly "that will be one frank". While it may seem petty, charging a frank for something which probably cost the hotel 20 cents, while renting a $300 room, lost the hotel about $300 in additional revenue, as that put down caused us to eat our dinners at other restaurants in town, even though the hotel had a very nice dining room. And while on the subject of dining rooms, it was nice that breakfast was "served" until 1000, however, if you were not in the room by about 0830, the selections dried up as they were no longer continuously replaced. Also, staff should be ALWAYS on the lookout for empty milk jugs, empty cereal jars, empty egg boiling pans. It is galling to self serve and find that you have to notify staff that the most popular food items have been exhausted.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, our departure was less enjoyable. At around 7:15 a.m., I went to return my room key, as I had already paid the evening before and had been told this would be possible in the morning. However, the staff member at reception responded in an unfriendly manner and said I had to wait until 7:30 a.m. When I calmly tried to address this, he reacted irritably and did not allow me to finish speaking. It is unfortunate that such a small situation escalated and caused unnecessary stress, especially before a long journey home. Nevertheless, I would like to thank the rest of the staff for their hospitality.

“fine hotel to stay nearby st moritz”

Hotel was okay, our room was on 7th floor which you have to take the stairs from 6th floor. Parking garage is a plus point, but you have to pay 18 franc extra for it. otherwise there is no other parking in the nearby location. Hotel was okay, our room was on 7th floor which you have to take the stairs from 6th floor. Parking garage is a plus point, but you have to pay 18 franc extra for it. otherwise there is no other parking in the nearby location. Breakfast was not bad, lot's of choice, and you can order extra omelette. Spa was quite disappointing, the reception and all the information said that the spa is open till 8pm, but when I was there they were close at 7.45 pm.
