My family of 4 stayed at Joy Inn; we booked the "Small family suite" room type. The hotel is new and decently clean. The room is not spacious but it's well designed that met our needs perfectly. Beds & linens are comfortable enough. They have a small outdoor parking lot but it could get packed at night (but hotel helped arranging alternative parking for us). Breakfast is OK, but there's a Starbucks right next door that you can go to. Overall quite happy with Joy Inn, and we will be staying again next time in town.

I can’t say enough how wonderful and cozy this hotel is! The room was impeccably clean with very tasteful décor. We're a family of 4 with 2 energetic kids, and it fit us perfectly. The rooms are small, but not cramped, and have every amenity. They had great lighting and curtains, so we had an amazing night's sleep. Easy access to switches on the wall made it easy to check on the kids at night and to maneuver without waking anyone. The bathroom was super clean, opaque glass walls and doors for great privacy, (but no lock on the bathroom door) and it was super quiet, you could shower without waking anyone. Excellent attention to detail, functionality and comfort. Having a landmark Starbucks on the first floor right outside, and a 7-11 next door to that, also make it super convenient while travelling. The staff were also very helpful and professional and did a wonderful job making us feel at home. Even the housekeeping staff were cheerful, wonderful and professional. The location is perfect for families, it’s right next to 2 big kids parks as well as the market streets and famous temples, everything is within walking distance! There’s even a clean 24hr McDonald’s and shuttle bus station just a 5 minute walk away. There’s also a big pharmacy and hospital next to the hotel block, so it’s great for families with kids or seniors. The only minus was the buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which really stands out as not so good, considering how perfect everything else in the hotel is. The bread and buns were stale, with a communal sanitary “glove” for slicing the bread yourself. The fried eggs were okay, but scrambled would have been a better option. They had milk, and diluted instant orange juice, but no cereal. The bacon was good, but the ham was kept floating in a tub of warm water. The fruit was fresh, but was dried out due to its placement near the entrance. The only tasty item was the French toast, but it was served with honey, no maple syrup. They did have a big selection of Chinese food, congee, DIY guabao, rice with minced pork sauce, vegetables, etc., but the western food left a lot to be desired. I would suggest the hotel offer scrambled eggs, ham not served in water, a cereal dispenser, or small boxes of cereal. With the same budget, and rearranging the layout of the food, they could easily make the breakfast match the quality of the rest of the hotel. Despite the breakfast, this hotel will still be our first choice for staying in Lukang and we highly recommend it! The service of the staff and the comfort of the rooms make Joy Inn Lukang our first and best choice!

There is not a lot of choices for hotels in Lukang, so its a nice surprise to find this nice little Boutique Hotel (although its classified here as B&B). Its located outside the main town cnetre & takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old town. However, they do have a parking space & a Starbucks right outside the hotel. The rooms are very spacious & clean and everything is newly furnished. The staff were very kind & helpful, and the best part is their buffet breakfast which is the best we had in Taiwan to date. Its got almost everything & serves both western & chinese style breakfast. In the evening, this become a nice Steak house which is very convenient (as there is very little option for restaurant outside the hotel). We will most definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Lukang & may be pop round to the deer park near by (as the town was named Deer Harbour, so the city introduced this deer park to attract more tourists).

The location is good where you can find Starbucks, 7 eleven & there is a park just accross the street. The room is small but sufficient. No laundry & hair dryer are provided but there are electric kettle & tea coffee amenities. Sleepers are available too. The bed & pillows are very comfy. Staff speaks enough english & very courteous. Nice hotel.
