The hotel is located at walking distance to the central area. We stayed there for 5 nights and were very happy with our room. For the price we paid it was surprisingly spacious, comfortable and clean, certainly good for value. The cafe in lobby offer free drinks and snack till midnight. The only thing we missed were body lotion and cotton wool pads, which might be important for those who like to pamper their skin in dry seasons. Hotel staffs and services were very good.

What I liked about this hotel is the hygiene standards for the restaurant, before you enter there’s antibacterial liquid for you to use . Tables were cleared of any used plates during service . What I liked about this hotel is the hygiene standards for the restaurant, before you enter there’s antibacterial liquid for you to use . Tables were cleared of any used plates during service . Once the meal was finished the tables were cleared and relayed . No waiting to find a table . Your drinks are self service! A good selection of food ! We had a standard room looking out to the hills , plenty of room and again very clean , you could tell the team take a pride in there work . They do have signage regarding towels for laundering . This is the first hotel I have stayed in that takes recycling seriously and looking after the planet . Bio degradable bags in your bathrooms and rooms , also round the pools . The pool food service tends to use consumables which saves on washing up , any breakages ect . Theses items are recycled . Several recycle points available . Even a battery bin down in the lobby . The staff are so helpful and make the holiday , friendly and smiling too . Photos taken at the end of the holiday when we were packing ...,

The hotel is located next to the Hsinchu Moat Park. From the train station you can get here within about 10-15 minutes walk. Right at the hotel you'll find a Japanese and an Italian restaurant. I tried the latter one which is quite good. Hotel staff is generally friendly and efficient although check in always takes a bit long. Be aware that room quality massively depends on your luck: I booked the Deluxe Double room in order to get a window and sunlight in the room (the cheapest rooms don't have windows) and what I got at first was extremely disappointing with a window just hidden in a very small corner, thus making it completely useless - see first two photos. Offering this as Deluxe Double was simple cheating for me. When I complained about that, they even told me that it wasn't their fault but due to the building layout. Well, maybe they can't change the building, but at least they could offer the room honestly as what it is. Luckily they could change my room to a lower floor but with real window (which is the same room category, so you never know when booking). Without this bad experience the rating might have been 4 or even 5, but this bad room plus the absurd "excuse" can't get a higher rating. Besides, rooms are spacious and come with old furniture, but still in acceptable shape. I didn't try the breakfast during this trip but during a previous trip it was good in quality, just no variations during several days and not much food for vegetarians. In the restaurant area they offer all day free coffee/tea and cookies. Some seats are available outdoors on the terrace, mostly used for smoking.
