“Worth it just for Spa World access.”

Overall, this is a very well-located hotel with a great spa/hot spring on property and is good value. Highly recommend. Room was comfortable and clean - only complaint was a glass door for the toilet... why? Location is excellent - right in the heart of the town with plenty of restaurants etc. about and Starbucks at end of street. Free parking directly opposite. Also choosing this area (Jiaoxi) to stay in over others in Yilan felt like the right choice for us. The hot spring/spa pools downstairs are by far the best part - we thought these were great, both for adults and kids. Open 8:30 to 22:00. Unlimited access is part of the stay. Only underwhelming thing was the breakfast, but we are Westerners, and found this was normally the case in Taiwan unless staying at a 5-star business hotel. There is a small kid's playroom on site as well, and a Japanese hotel in the connected sister property which we did not visit.

We booked a quick overnight getaway for a family of 5. We had 2 rooms, 3101 and 3116. First, starting with check-in. The staff was very friendly and helpful, explaining the facilities before our check-in and allowing us to store luggage at the front until our rooms were ready and their lobby area was roomy with plenty of space to rest/wait. The rooms were quite spacious itself as well, with all the amenities, fridge with ample bottles of water and larger bathrooms. There's a safe and one of our room has a tatami area to put a 3rd "bed". The included breakfast on the 2nd floor, while quite varied with plenty of selection, was somewhat cold and not terribly tasty. Location of the hotel is also convenient, within easy walking distance of both the Jiaoxi bus transfer station as well as the train station. It's also right there in the middle of all the action, close to the hot springs parks, shops, fish feet eating places, etc. The main attraction of this hotel is its spa area, which included a kids area, a spa area with various massage jets under cover, another similar space not under cover, a hot springs smaller pools with varying hotness, couple saunas, and the highlight for the kids, a huge water slide (which only opens an hour at a time various times throughout the day). It's open to the public (for a fee) so it will get a bit more crowded the middle parts of the day but mornings and evenings are almost exclusively hotel guests. While it was a great getaway with the family and the kids, the hotel touts itself as a 4 star. It may very well have been at one point but it feels dated, and cracked walls, broken steps, cracked and peeling ceilings, stained walls and dirty carpets doesn't scream 4 stars level.

“Nice visit”

Great spa, no doubt. Big, variety, kids pool and slide were great. Maybe a few mosquitos - didn't see any but got a few bites. It's outdoors so you feel one with nature so maybe unavoidable. The area by the slide entrance could be tidied up/ prettied up a bit The room was okay. Pretty clean.… more

The area by the slide entrance could be tidied up/ prettied up a bit The room was okay. Pretty clean. Had nice bathrobes. But the bathroom tub was a bit dated and the caulk/grout lines were old in some places. Mostly I didn't love the layout. Entrance to the room was a bit tight, right next to the bed. There wasn't a lot of counter space so a bit hard to unpack everything. Note: The tub was large but not a place to shower (no shower curtain for example).

“A clean, but dated, place to soak away the day's stress.”

This hotel is located in the city center, where you have easy access to many local restaurants, shops, and the bus and train stations. The place was clean, and the service was quick and responsive. This hotel is located in the city center, where you have easy access to many local restaurants, shops, and the bus and train stations. The place was clean, and the service was quick and responsive. Breakfast buffet was generous as well. The pools and spa facilities were nice as well - good variety of hydrotherapy jets, saunas, and pools of varying water temps. I liked how are rooms had separate hot and cold tubs too. This place seems frozen in time in the 1990's though - could use an update.
