The hotel is about a 10 minutes walk from the train station, as we were not familiar with the roads and there were no proper pavement for us to walk (blocked by vehicles!), we had to walk on the street, we almost could not find it. It is tucked away in the corner of a quiet street. The lobby double up as their breakfast area, surprisingly it can accommodate quite a lot of diners. The staff will tell you to call them to check if seats were available at the dining area before you come down. They have a good spread for breakfast. They have about 5-6 bicycles parked outside of their door for rent but we didn’t try. Default only given 1 key card but upon request they gladly provided 2. The lock to the door is unusual and the staff will explain to you how to use it. We were given room 701, a clean spacious modern looking room. Apart from the bed, table, there was also an arm chair with leg rest, a small plastic horse for kids, and an additional fan in the room, which was welcomed. The toilet was also huge with both a standing shower and a bath tub, wide mirror. What we loved most is the good heater system in the toilet with various options, it made bathing so much more comfortable. The heater also helped in drying our clothes overnight. On the desk, a useful map (with food) was provided for tourist, it came in really handy. The hotel was also very near to Luodong night market (great food!) which is a great plus point! Some small issues we faced but don’t affect us that much. • There were no hooks to hang clothes anywhere in the toilet, only able to hang on the shower room handle bar • There is no do not disturb / please make up my room sign. • Remote control signal to the TV wasn’t good, might be how the TV box is placed, abit frustrating to use the TV. • TV is mounted too low, not at eye level when watched from bed. Overall, nice hotel and would strongly recommend for a comfortable quiet night of stay.

“Big room, nice people, simple breakfast”

We book a family room with 3 queensize beds, spacious and decent cleanliness. Breakfast provided are porridge and simple local chinese dishes. It is located close to the Luo Dong night market, about 5 mins walk.

This is a decent hotel at a fair price. The rooms are a bit small and outdated (creaky doors, loose cabinetry), but is certainly “livable. This is a decent hotel at a fair price. The rooms are a bit small and outdated (creaky doors, loose cabinetry), but is certainly “livable. The location is excellent, very close to the night market, so there is a HUGE selection of cheap and tasty food nearby. The breakfast buffet is unusually good, with a nice selection of Chinese and western items. The staff speaks very little English, and the signage and paperwork are all Chinese, so if you are uncomfortable that, you may prefer a larger hotel with more international clients. It appears the rent (or loan) bicycles here, although we didn’t investigate that. Bottom line: It is an acceptable hotel, but nothing special. When we return to this town, I’ll probably shop around for something a bit nicer.
