I stayed at Salinero Millie Lodge one day before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. The staff were great, the food was excellent, and it was a perfect place for acclimatization. I would definitely recommend this place.

This hotel is located in the foothills of Kilimanjaro and is in a very peaceful location. The building is impressive as you approach it and the welcome we received was as warm as any we received in Tanzania. We stayed here for one night before setting off on our climb. “Resting after climbing Kilimanjaro”
This was a very peaceful hotel with very welcoming staff that was perfect for the start and the end of our group trek. Lovely buffet style breakfast & dinner with a well stocked bar. We enjoyed a celebration night with outdoor dining & entertainment.

What a lovely oasis in the foothills below Kilimanjaro. It was such a pleasure to return here after our climb of The Mountain: friendly, accommodating staff, beautiful grounds, lovely fire pit to sit around in the evening.
