We stayed from the 23rd November to 3rd December 2026, and I have to say, it was the most incredible holiday I've ever had. The hotel was not only lovely and immaculately clean, but the staff there truly made the experience extraordinary. Their professionalism combined with their genuine warmth made our stay feel like a slice of paradise. The atmosphere was so serene and peaceful, it felt almost like a wellness retreat. One of the highlights of our stay was witnessing the community work the hotel engages in. On our arrival day, the hotel honoured local boys by handing out football kits, which was deeply touching. The hotel is also involved in several projects such as beach cleaning and assisting at the local kindergarten. Special kudos to Raphael, the assistant manager, who is often seen tidying up the beach with local residents and playing football with them on Mondays. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the staff for making our holiday unforgettable. Having travelled across all continents and numerous countries, this was our best experience yet. Special thanks to the managers, George, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and Raphael, who worked tirelessly to ensure we were happy. My gratitude also extends to the restaurant staff: John, J4 (Jaffari), Steven, Amos, Davidson, Elvira, and Glory. The kitchen staff, led by Chef Mangi and his team, prepared the most delicious food. Special recognition to the security team, particularly the gatemen, who were always helpful with our luggage and constantly smiling. The reception staff, Edina and Christine, were always welcoming, and the laundry team, including Habati, did a fantastic job. Thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping the place spotless. Lastly, a big thank you to the maintenance guy, whose name I unfortunately forgot, for diligently fixing our safe after we accidentally locked our passports in a day before departure. Thanks to the excursion team Saidi, Eva and Michelangelo. Thanks to Micheal from stores for helping with where to get stuff. I thought this wonderful experience would be worth sharing, as it highlights the impact of exceptional service and community involvement. Can’t wait to come back in 2026x

Just wanting to give a big shout out to all the staff at Sahari Zanzibar for making our holiday truly amazing. We are currently only half way through our stay but all the staff we have come across have been very welcoming, kind and kin to ensure we are well looked after and comfortable. A special thanks to managers George and Raphael for adding that special touch to our holiday. Yourselves and your staff are making our first visit to Zanzibar wonderful and we are looking forward to enjoying the rest of our stay. We will definitely be back! Thank you guys!

“Amazing stay”

Beautiful small hotel, right on the beach. Pool was lovely too. The staff were amazing and that includes everyone from maintenance, security, housekeeping, reception and especially the restaurant staff, warm greetings with a big smile really made our stay exceptional.

Madebe the driver was waiting patiently as the full ramifications of a missing suitcase were sinking in. All of my missus's clothes were off on their own african adventure! Without missing a beat Madebe took us to buy enough cultural appropriated clothing to get us through the next few days. So our Zanzibar start was not the best. But! From the moment we were welcomed at the gate all worries vapourised. Maintenance fellas stopped gardening and merrily took our bags. Check in was a breeze with Christina, who then gave us a mini tour. Our room, 16, is the only one of its type. A detached cottage by the pool, perfect. Quiet, well laid out, very big comfortable bed, air-con, fan and mosquito net. A fridge would have been cool, but not really a problem. The net is turned down for you in the late afternoon along with a bit of a bug spray. Fresh bottled water every day, also freely available at the bar. There's also a water bowl and ladle outside the door to rinse the sand from your feet. The place is immaculate, not just 'job' clean, I mean 'pride' clean. The sand is raked, pool cleaned and plants tended, expertly and discreetly. The restaurant serves a fairly typical menu. All well and caringly cooked. All the bar and serving staff were excellent. Sometimes comprehension could be an amusing issue, but to be fair German, Italian, Spanish and French were all being used in equal measure. The beach view from the bar/restaurant will stay with you for the rest of your days. The pool is great. A deep bit and different depths of shallow bits, all very clean. A dozen or so loungers surround it, all well spaced and shaded at different parts of the day. More loungers and seating at the beach front for the serious sun lovers. The staff ensure that serenity will envelop you, within a day you'll discard your tensions along with your flip-flops, and your visage will accent the environment, becoming beautiful. Bwejuu is not as developed as Paje (5 min taxi) , which is a real bonus. There are enough decent bars and restaurants within beach walking distance to keep you occupied. A small pharmacy is two minutes walk from the hotel. Yep! We really liked it and already miss it! Just got home to rainy Britain.
