It's really hard to fault the RUI Jambo Hotel. It was absolutely exception in ever way possible, even the staff were fantastic, which when you constantly great 100's of guests can be tiring. Room was great, even though we had a double bed instead of two single beds as requested, me made do. Making my friend feel special for her birthday was fantastic and the staff ensured that this was done. The only major complaint I would have is the dessert, though it's not terrible, it definitely leaves something to wonder about. Most of the cakes are dry and one could say have been standing for very long (Understandable, the volume of food, it's hard to perfect everything) but most days we skipped dessert after tasting one item as we were trying to find what was good. Lastly, though it was not a major issue, and it's not a easy problem to solve since the beach is a public space, sometimes the people selling things on the beach can get a bit overwhelming and tiring after having to say no thank you to the 15th person in less than a hour. Thank you for the stay, I will definitely be using your Hotels for other destinations.

Hotel RIU Jambo is very beautiful. The beach view is so pretty though there are some vendors that are selling stuff and asking you to do stuff for money. There are many pools and bars that have parties. The food buffet is really good too and there is an Asian restaurant. The staff are nice to guests as well. The complimentary room upgrade was a lovely touch and the location is absolutely gorgeous. The food offers something for everyone, including gluten-free options, and the restaurant staff were very helpful. The Head Chef, in particular, genuinely went out of his way to assist, which was greatly appreciated. One word of caution relates to excursions and transport. The hotel encourages guests to book everything, from a simple taxi to day trips, through an agent called Eli. Unfortunately, different guests appear to be quoted different prices for the same services, and even requesting a taxi through reception resulted in being directed to Agent Eli. It leaves the impression that there may be an arrangement in place. My advice would be to avoid booking through Agent Eli and instead use a reputable travel company with transparent, published pricing to ensure you are paying a fair rate. Sadly, both my son and I became ill during our stay and needed to visit the hotel clinic, which was helpful and professional. As with any buffet-style hotel, I would strongly recommend using the hand sanitiser provided before and after meals, as buffets can easily become a source of germs when many guests are serving themselves. Overall, the beautiful setting and the helpful restaurant and medical staff were definite highlights, but greater transparency around excursion and transport pricing would significantly improve the guest experience.
