Five years of returning, and it still feels less like checking in than coming home. The décor, the atmosphere, and above all the service — from the welcome at the door to the riverside dinners and every breakfast — are consistently exceptional. Special thanks to Alex, whom we have had the pleasure of seeing each year. The benefits are real, too: the upgrade honored, the discounts applied, the points credited in full. The pool is wonderfully large and deep, and the staff unfailingly helpful. Our only suggestion would be to allow guests to sign in to their own YouTube or Netflix accounts on the in-room television, as NH Hotels do — the sole observation we could make after a delightful stay.

From the moment we arrived until we checked out, everything at Anantara Hua Hin was exceptional. The resort is stunning, the service is outstanding, and every member of staff made us feel so welcome. There is so much to do for individuals, couples, and families. Sofia loved the activities, especially rock climbing, kayaking, and pizza making, and the kids’ club was absolutely superb. The food was another highlight. We loved Sea Fire Salt so much we dined there twice, and every meal was incredible. The Thai restaurant was equally exceptional, serving some of the best food we’ve had on our trip. The beautiful grounds, relaxing atmosphere, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in, and we’ll definitely be returning. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, largely thanks to the wonderful staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. The rooms were clean, very well equipped and comfortable, and the breakfast offered an excellent variety and quality. There were, however, a few areas where we felt the resort could improve. The biggest disappointment for us was the kids’ club. While the staff were kind, they spoke very little English and weren’t very proactive in engaging with the children. As a result, we felt we needed to stay ourselves to keep our kids entertained, which isn’t quite what you hope for from a kids’ club. We also noticed that some of the complimentary scheduled kids’ club activities didn’t always take place unless a parent specifically asked about them. Even then, it often ended up being the parent who did the activity together with the children, rather than the staff taking the lead. We’ve stayed at other family resorts where the kids’ club staff actively engage with the children and give parents the opportunity to truly relax, so there is definitely room for improvement here. The food at Sea Salt Fire was another letdown, especially considering the prices. We ordered (among others) the grilled sea bass and the shrimp carbonara, and both dishes lacked seasoning and flavour. We were surprised, as these are relatively straightforward dishes to get right. The Thai restaurant was better and we enjoyed our meal there. One small point was the music that started playing around 7:00 a.m. near the Thai restaurant, which woke us up on a few mornings. Given its close proximity to the yoga area, a quieter atmosphere in that part of the resort might be more appropriate. We also felt the beachfront area could be warmer and more inviting. The setting itself is beautiful, but the layout and design felt a little clinical and could benefit from a cozier atmosphere. The gym was quite a walk from our room, although we appreciate that this isn’t something the resort can easily change. One practical note for future guests: the resort is about a 15-minute drive from downtown Hua Hin and the night markets. Fortunately, Grab is inexpensive, reliable, and readily available, so getting around is very easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the great facilities, breakfast and truly appreciated the outstanding hospitality of the staff. However, considering the premium price point, we left feeling that the overall experience didn’t quite deliver what we had expected.

The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere, a great breakfast, and the breakfast team is incredibly friendly. However, the lack of universal design is a major drawback. It is very challenging for strollers and elderly guests to reach the lobby, and luggage piles up at the drop-off area. Crucially, there is no proper seating area for guests who cannot climb the stairs to wait comfortably. Another issue is that the rooms are not well-soundproofed; I could clearly hear children running along the hallways. Unfortunately, these problems overshadow the beautiful scenery. I truly hope the hotel adds ramps and improves room soundproofing, as these updates would definitely encourage me to return.
