Stayed at the Varanda lodge for 10 nights. It has a fantastic location on the beach and a fairly short walk to the night market and almost opposite Market Village, which has a great indoor street food market on the lower floor, perfect for lunch. The room I stayed in was very clean, with balcony the rooms are a good size. Shower hot and powerful, air con efficient plenty of storage space.  The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and they spoke good English especially the lady on the night shift she would always give a lovely smile which made our stay extra special.  We had various options for breakfast all hot and freshly cooked with tea and coffee fruit juice fresh fruit etc. The best part was the view from our breakfast room/restaurant. The beach is lovely with plenty of comfortable sunbeds great walks along the sand in each direction with nice stops for a cold beer. Our room could have done with a paint. However I can see they are doing this to other rooms. Hotel was great value.

“Great time”

Stayed in a garden room very comfortable and cleaned every day. Plenty of hanging space to put clothes and drawers. Veranda with chairs if you fancy sitting out in the evening. Stayed in a garden room very comfortable and cleaned every day. Plenty of hanging space to put clothes and drawers. Veranda with chairs if you fancy sitting out in the evening. The beach is a 2 minute stroll and really lovely. Can get a bit breezy at times and that when the wind surfers come. There were plenty of sun beds avoid the broken ones but much to hot to sit on the beach but in front of the restaurant there are some nice sofas so we sat on them all day having a drink and usually lunch. Restaurant with views across the bay and very nice breakfast. We did not eat in the evening as we went to the night market to eat street food very nice. There was a small pool but we didn't use it. If you walk to the top of the road there is always a tuk tuk waiting there as it is quite a step to the night market. Can't comment on the shops as we didn't want to go shopping but the night market has everything anyway. If you go to Hua Hin a trip to the National Park to see the elephants in the natural surroundings is a must, we were lucky enough to see 22 but sometimes none as they are wild.

Stayed at Veranda Lodge for 10 nights. There’s a lot of good points. Beach location is excellent. Nice open air restaurant on beachfront. The food was okay. There is a sun terrace. The sun bed mattresses were a bit worse for wear and some of the wooden bed frames were broken. Some areas were a bit tired - needing a refurbished.
