This resort was really comfortable on a cool little island. The staff were super helpful and really went above and beyond to make it a nice stay. The breakfast was solid but they overcook the eggs if you like your sunny side up/ fried eggs to be a little bit runny. The pool is a really nice touch and allows you to swim comfortably even at low tide. They provide great kayaks, SUPs, masks, snorkels, etc all free of charge. They even have some petanque sets and an area to play it in.

We stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved it. Before booking, we worried that three nights might be too long and that we’d get bored, but we couldn’t have been more wrong—we would have happily stayed a few more nights. Being able to paint any piece of driftwood you can find on the beach, which they then display and add to the collection behind the bar is a great touch. Genta and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was simple but perfect, with eggs cooked to order so everything was always fresh. Lunch and dinner are also available on-site, and the food is delicious—some of the best Thai food we’ve had. The green curry in particular was superb. We would 100% recommend this place. It truly feels like paradise. We will return.

Very cosy and really nice intimate resort at the beachfront. Perfect beach for relaxing and snorkeling Friendly and helpful personal. Evenings in the bar with other guest and games is a good way to spend time and exchange experiences of traveling in Thailand. Will come back if ever in Thailand… more

Improvements suggested. - Renovate pool area within 3-5 years - paint the rooms within 2-3 years.

** SNORKELING IS NO LONGER ALLOWED ON THE HOUSE REEF ** While we support coral restoration efforts, the resort should have made this information clear to guests prior to arrival. We splurged on this resort specifically to snorkel from shore steps from our accommodation, which is not currently possible in 2026. Instead guests are invited to walk or use one of the 3 complimentary kayaks to snorkel 20 minutes south in the national park - the 200 THB per person daily entrance fee is not included in the resort's room rate. The beach in front of the resort is tidal, exposing large sections of mud flats at low tide during which kayaks cannot be used. If you are coming to Ko Kradan for snorkeling from shore (and don't mind a lack of AC and no pool), consider staying on Ao-Nieng Beach instead. The Reef Resort is family-friendly with rope swings and beach toys. The powerful foot wash hoses are great for removing sand and dried vegetation, which gets very hot in the afternoon (wear sandals). Pool loungers can be moved onto the beach; however, after initially being told to ask staff to move them, we we told to carry them ourselves. Staff carry them back in the evening. The loungers lack padding and can be slippery when placed on the sloping sand. The hanging day bed near the covered section of the restaurant is much more comfortable, and just wide enough for two. The beach is uncrowded since day-trippers land further south along the coast at the national park. Beachfront dining with feet in the sand is romantic after the kids have gone to bed. Breakfast is served 8-10am, lunch 12-3pm, and dinner 6-9pm. While resort-priced, the food is quite good, and the restaurant can accommodate special dietary requirements. A water fill station helps to reduce the use of plastic water bottles, which are still widely used and recycled on the mainland. The ample-sized rooms are set back from the beach behind the pool, and most have partial sea views. While bed is reasonably comfortable and the AC is quiet, the optional fan is audible and the open-air bathroom is warm and humid. Early risers will welcome the sun shining through the curtains. Bring earplugs for the sound of animals on the roof. Wifi is available in the rooms and on the beach near the restaurant, but can be quite slow or low signal depending on where and when. In short: Stay here for family fun with a pool by the beach. Stay elsewhere for easy access to snorkeling from shore.
