“ Very clean and affordable but not near any attractions”

Because friends live nearby, I have stayed several times and for numerous days at a time. Its location is perfect for me. This hotel is on the edge of town and quiet. Because friends live nearby, I have stayed several times and for numerous days at a time. Its location is perfect for me. This hotel is on the edge of town and quiet. It is not close to any attractions and nowhere really, to walk to from here. It's not remote, just not close to anything worthy. There is a place to grab a drink adjoining the entry from the main road, which, of course, is mostly populated by locals. The rooms are all very clean, serviced every day, and the staff is as helpful as they can but do not speak english. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is large with the classic thai shower. I am usually on the side viewing the abutting farm (rice?) and like to wake up amd watch the owner/tender go about their daily routine depending on the season. There is a small restaurant which has been closed since covid. Not sure it will reopen. I'd like to see the fountain out front working..I'm not sure if it's broken or just a budget concern. This is not a fancy hotel but the AC and hot water work, and you get new towels daily. For me, most important is very clean rooms. Great stay for the price. Tipping is not expected in this part of Thailand but if you stay, leave a few baht for the cleaning staff. Oh, during the rainy season you might have to ahare the bathroom with a few tiny guests (not pests). Don't be alarmed. They need water too, are harmless, and I've never seen them outside the bathroom. Gecko roam the lobby walls and sometimes the hall and likely in your room. This unavoidable in 90% of Thailand, but they are mosquito and bug eaters, so i like. If these added attractions put you off, Thailand is not for you.

Lovely Thai staff. Clean and well run hotel. Breakfast offered was congee or fried eggs. White break, butter, and jelly as well as hot drinks. Restaurant staff were very hospitable. “For the budget price, it's OK. ”

Needed a night out of the village. Stayed One night in comfort and air con. $25 for the night, rooms are big, clean and reasonable. No lift, so stairs to top level 3. Nothing great but all comforts required for a cheap stay. One warning though, the shower and bathroom floors are dangerously slipp… more

The hotel is quite new - opened in mid-2015 - and very pleasant. Everything was clean and tidy, and we did not come across the tomboy mentioned by at least one other. The front desk staff, in fact, wet out of their way to be helpful, as did the security guard in the car park and everyone else there. The rooms are a reasonable size and fitted with all that one needs for a comfortable stay, including a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The furniture is functional, but solid and very adequate. Breakfast - part minor buffet, part cooked to order - is provided in a small, separate building 50 metres from the main hotel. The cooked items were good and very fresh, and brought to our table soon after our order. We noted that the restaurant attracted customers other than from the hotel, which is usually a good sign. The absence of fruit juices was a bit disappointing but that is a minor issue. One Fu is about 3 km from the centre of Surin and, as there no public transport out there, only readily accessible to those with a car or motorbike. Plenty of parking. The hotel is on the left of the main road, a few hundred metres beyond the junction with the bypass and on the opposite side of the road from IQ Moderntrade, which is at the bypass junction. It is hard to find in the dark because the sign faces the main road and is some distance back from it, rather than standing perpendicular to it so that it is easy to see.
