Spotted this place on a search and thought I might give it a burl, I generally stay near Central when in Udon, but this trip wanted to be a little out of the city centre. Ozone is actually off the main road slightly, which really helps in the shush department, it is a very striking building, in that it has a lot of glass and looks almost out of place in Udon, very very chic .. I rocked up here without a booking, and some young bright ladies offered me a choice of specials, one of which was a junior suite for 1290 baht, with brekky... What the heck, I thought and took it. The room was on the top floor, yes, there is a lift, and when I walked through the door, was amazed at the size of the suite, bigger than a studio flat... And new and sparkling everywhere... One thing if you like privacy, is that this suite was very open, plenty of windows everywhere, and easy to look in from across, where the other wing of rooms is, separated by the pool... Yep, bring your bathers, it's a very nice, sparkling pool that was being well attended when I arrived, I wish I'd brought mine.. Okay, the bed, again firm without being rocky, simple furniture, lounges and flat screen telly, coffee making, albeit it 3 in 1, nice closet and well scrubbed bathroom. Wifi was pretty good there and good in the lobby, which wasn't large but looked well kept. Sleep cam easily and the curtains kept out a lot of light, until a reasonable hour anyway.. Breakfast was a surprise, many Thai hots as usual, cereals and toast, plus outside, the egg station was doing a booming business cranking out various egg dishes, all looked nicely cooked and presented. My omelette was cooked well and tasty, fruit was fresh and coffee okay.. For the price and quality of rooms, food and staff, it was a bargain. Next time I get back to Udon, it's my new hotel!

“Pleasant stay”

It's not the Shangri-La or Ritz Carlton, but the Ozone has comfortable rooms which are clean and well maintained. I had a very enjoyable stay here as the bed was firm, staff friendly and the breakfast was good! surely recommended for anyone looking for a good night of sleep while traveling

Great value budget hotel, the room was so large, clean and excellent value for the price we paid. New air conditioning and even a lap pool in the center of the hotel. Great value budget hotel, the room was so large, clean and excellent value for the price we paid. New air conditioning and even a lap pool in the center of the hotel. The rooms are basic but that reflects the price but it’s definitely one of the better budget hotels we’ve stayed at. We chose the location as it’s just 20 mins from the airport and slightly out of town, 15-20 min walk or a 5 min Tuk Tuk ride to all the restaurants. However, it’s quiet as Udon can get noisy at night with all the live bars and clubs so we were happy to be out on the fringe with a good nights sleep. The hotel staff we really friendly and organised a taxi to take us out to the red lotus lake. The staff negotiated for the driver to wait for us and bring us back (it’s 45 mins from the hotel and can be tricky finding transport back so bear that in mind.) Breakfast was not included but looked OK from what we saw, we chose to try the many coffee shops for breakfast and were glad we did. Dose Expresso every day for breakfast is first class! There isn’t a hotel bar just a small area for snacks, coffee a cold beer etc., so if your looking for nightlife and a busy bar this is not for you. If your looking for a good hotel for sight seeing or have kids with you, this place is perfect.

Room is very simple but hot water works well and everything is there for you.
