A travel agent had given me a tip about this hotel, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience for me and my husband! I wish to especially thank Omer for his patience, as I sent many emails during the months prior to our arrival. He greeted us as we arrived, and was such a warm and welcoming person. The entire staff was wonderful! It feels like a family-run property. This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. It very much has an authentic, old world feel with lovely plants and flowers everywhere. (We were her in Springtime). We got the Pasha Suite, which I specifically requested to allow adequate ceiling height for my tall husband. It is not a cave room, and we were ok with that. There are also no stairs to get into it, only a small step down into the bathroom. The room was beautiful and huge, with a nice balcony with 2 chairs. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The staff provided a fruit and nut welcome tray with a small bottle of wine, which was a really nice touch. There is a spa on the property and I treated myself to a Turkish Bath by Yulia, which was lovely. There is also a pool but we did not use it. This property looks cozy but it is deceptively large with nooks around every corner or up or down a few stairs. The terrace above the Happena Restaurant on the property is a nice place to view the early morning balloons. Breakfast is included and is at Happena, and wow it is vast! There is a huge buffet that will be especially appealing to people who are used to savory options for their morning meal, such as fresh vegetable salads, chopped vegetable salads, grain salads and spreads. There are a few fresh fruits but mostly dried fruits. There are plenty of sweets and breads. American-type egg dishes are available to order. It is a cozy setting inside the charming restaurant, or there are plenty of places outdoors to eat. I did not see any heaters, though. I'm sorry to have to mention a few areas for improvement, but I would like to remark about the Pasha Suite specifically. While it is large and luxurious, the bathroom is small and cramped. There is a stand up shower, a large claw tub, a sink and toilet. There are also bathrobes and a heated towel rack. The tub takes up a lot of space, leaving almost no horizontal surfaces for your bathroom items, and there are no hooks. To compensate, there is an additional sink outside the bathroom on a dresser cabinet, which helped, but overall it was an awkward bathroom situation. More hooks or a shelf would have helped. I also like a magnifying mirror, and there wasn't one. The Heating and AC unit in the room is difficult to figure out. The lighting in the room could be improved and there are no USB ports, being an old-style property. Plugs are not next to the bed. Also, between the many dogs in the neighborhood and the roosters, it is not always easy for light sleepers to get rest, especially in the early mornings. Lastly, I'd like to mention that Cappadocia in general is not the best area for people with limited mobility, and Kelebek hotel has lots of stairs or sloped walkways everywhere. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and feel that we received an authentic old world Turkish experience. Thanks again Omer and everyone!
