This hotel definetely seen better days and currently a big Q if it matches 5* classification. Nevertheless it provides good price / quality balance. Seems that hotel primary clientele are visitors for neaby Istanbul fair center, which is 5 minutes walk. Taxi to/from IST costs 700/750 TRY respectively. Room is of decent size, windows opens, however passing trains nearby creates certain noise. Water temperature and pressure - OK. The best feature of room - master control switch ( incl. A/C control ) just on bed - didn't see that even in better hotels, must look impressive years ago then hotel opened. Breakfast was ok, service - as it shall be. Good choice if you need to be just on exhibition grounds. Keep in mind, to go out nothing is within walking distance.

“Check in took ages and room like a sauna,!”

We stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip as we were visiting the exhibition centre opposite. There were 4 of us and check in took about 40 minutes, staff were very polite but check in process was painfully slow. My room was quite dated but it was a good size and bathroom was also fine with nice complimentary toiletries. Weather was good and it was very warm, I put the air conditioning on and it was blowing hot air! I called down to reception who advised that they would send up a maintainance man, the chap arrived, he was clearly unhappy about visiting my room, he climbed on his step ladder opened a door in the ceiling, within 1 minute he said it’s all good now and cold air will come through within a few minutes, hour an hour later the room was like a sauna, we went out to a local restaurant and I put it to the back of my mind. Came back a few hours later, a/c still blowing hot air, again I called reception who then advised that the air conditioning was still on Winter mode and to open a window, what is winter mode? I have never heard such rubbish! I opened the window but only managed a few hours sleep because of the constant trains and aeroplanes coming and going. The following morning I again complained to reception along with my colleagues who had the same problem we were assured that the air-conditioning would be switched to summer mode that day. We were out all day at the exhibition and upon our return we found the rooms to be still like saunas. We soon realised that there was a problem with the air-conditioning in the hotel. Breakfast was pretty basic but adequate. The bar area was very nice and the bar staff were excellent. This was a business trip and we chose this hotel because it had a good star rating And was in the perfect location for the exhibition however, we probably will not stay here again as the hotel is quite dated and in need of updating.

“TIRED HOTEL , AWFUL HEATING”

First of all , the service (entry,accomodating process,check-out,doorman and other facilities) were up to the 4-5* level , but the amenities , the walls and bathroom were outdated. Imagine the toilet seat was moving when someone sat on. I was afraid waste would explode all over the bathroom. Cleaning services up to the 4-5 star level. Breakfast was lame , same every day. +1 on omelette live preparation And the signature fail was the heating , rooms were constantly heated up to 27-30 degrees of celcius. Like what are we in, a sauna? Opened the air conditioning , tried to cool it down ...didnt work. Tried opening windows , still high temperature. We were on a business trip at CNR Expo Furniture Fair. All that walking and tiredness was rewarded with 4 hours of sleep max, for three consecutive days. Overall 4 star hotel. Service very good Amenities outdated and deterioriating.
