Came for a week after being locked down for five month in the house with a lot of anxiety about my elderly father. Decided to travel to turkey. Stayed in a five star hotel paying in one night the equivalent of what i paid in the four nights with a better experience! Wanted to a room beach front to relax away from tourists and being uptide in a five stars hotel. Wanted to go to Antalya but didn’t wanna take another flight!Was worried from covid in a 3 stars hotel but The staff were all wearing masks, they got us the disinfectant machine upon arrival:-) each table at the sea view Resturant has alcohol and they wipe after u leave! The staff with the little english they know made sure to take the extra mile to assist. Apologies I can’t remember their names but even the hotel driver who’s an old man treated us like his family. Offering us coffee when we went to do the covid test and dealing w all the logistics. The manager was another beauty of a supportive person who made sure to get us the room with the terrace. Thank you for that was a great alternative to traveling to the south and with half the price.

“Relaxed and peaceful stay”

Me and a friend spent two weeks here in Kilyos without spending much time researching the area. So there were a few surprises! Me and a friend spent two weeks here in Kilyos without spending much time researching the area. So there were a few surprises! But overall, we had very relaxed time and enjoyed the swims, food, and weather. Our rooms had terrific views of the Black Sea and sunsets. They were big and comfortable enough although bathrooms were tiny. We regularly asked for supplies, cleaning, and the iron. The internet connection was terrible and seemed to work best in the lobby. The hotel is aged but kept and maintained to a reasonable level. The pool is great. The restaurant is great and the meals excellent. The management and staff were always helpful, you just need to ask.

Kilyos is a small village on the Black Sea, 20 minutes from Istanbul airport. As it is a little seaside fishing village, you can’t expect the luxury and cleanliness of resort cities like Antalya or Bodrum. Kilyos is a small village on the Black Sea, 20 minutes from Istanbul airport. As it is a little seaside fishing village, you can’t expect the luxury and cleanliness of resort cities like Antalya or Bodrum. The hotels in Kilyos are smaller and a bit run down, but it’s to be expected. It’s a village. The Erzurumlu is such a hotel. Though a little warn and not fresh looking, it serves its purpose well. The staff are helpful. The rooms are average size and as clean as you can get an older hotel to be. Our room had a beautiful sea view. They do skimp on the amenities, but many older hotels do. The breakfast was good. There are lots of great places to eat in the immediate area, especially seafood. Also within walking distance are supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy and souvenir shop. If you like to go off the beaten path for a hotel near the airport, even if your looking for a overnight connection stay, Erzurumlu is a quiet and affordable place.
