“Excellent staff and service in a good location at reasonable price”

Excellent staff and service in a good location in Entebbe. Staff was very nice and made our stay like feeling at home. Breakfast is very good and if you need lunch or dinner the cook is excellent too. Very recommended for more home-like experience away from huge cold hotels.

Our flight arrived into Entebbe around 10pm. I didn’t want to travel far and so I booked a night here for our first night. It worked out great. I used there shuttle service amd they were waiting with a sign, very easy to find. It took just a few minto get to the hotel. It was clean (based on staying in many African hotels), had a/c, a friendly staff, an excellent breakfast, and a comforbed. I was pleased. On a negative note, the rooms are very tight. This is however a short stay place. One maybe two nights. To me, it was a great place near the airport. The airport shuttle was about $10.

“Very good for 1 night”

We spent 1 night when we arrive in Entebbe and another one when we left since it is close from the airport. Very clean but rooms are small. The bed in room Australia was very bad ; avoid this room. Food at the restaurant inside is good but expensive. We asked for local food and got nice meals.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights followed by 1 night using Booking.com reservation on our 12 night visit in Uganda. Our EBB Airport pick up ($7-not charged) was not there, even though we had a confirmed email, but was solved by a kind man (there to pick up a client) who called Phenicia Motel to remind them of our arrival. 15 minutes later, we were at reception, passports copied, and led off to our room. We balked at their first choice across from their thatched bar restaurant, but then were offered the center of three rear bungalows. Junior suite "Tunis" # 102 had a hard double (springs) with 2 nightstands, large refer, desk and chair, table and chair, AC wall TV with Al Jezzera in English, closet, and fully outfitted bathroom with hot water shower. Our small front patio peered out to the lush back garden and its own secluded bar. The 7:30 AM, or later, serviced breakfast had fruit, OJ, choice of eggs with toast, corn flakes and rice krispies, coffee/tea with hot milk. We ate one lunch in their beautiful thatched bar/dining hut enjoying the thickest Chicken Almond soup with fries and pita plus a Tusker malt, totaling $17. At the end of the EBB Airport property near the UN Compound, the motel is 150 meters down from the main road ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The Congo and Bangledesh Compounds are across the street and a nice supermarket is 500 meters northeast. With strong secured WIFI (often lost with frequent thunderstorms), a backup generator, rooms serviced daily and a nice uniformed staff, this property offers good value at $66/night (when paying by VISA).
