“Excellent Hotel”

Situated very close to the trolley stop from the airport and to the city centre , I found this to be an excellent hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and with a very good breakfast. I would recommend it

The Nota Bene is a small, Ukrainian business hotel, located on a quiet street not far from the centre of Lviv. My company placed me there initially, with the thought that I would probably move to an apartment for the duration of my stay. Which is what my 5 colleagues did. But I decided to stay there, from mid-February to the end of April, for a number of reasons. There is good WIFI throughout the hotel, and good parking on the street and in a barricaded parking lot in the back. There is 24 hour, very friendly and helpful reception, and there is at least one ATM in the lobby. Bathrooms have baths and/or showers and plenty of hot water, but the hair dryer was so weak that I bought my own. Heating was controlled in the room, so it was as warm as one wanted. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and many speak English. Especially the reception staff.The place is immaculate, and the housekeeping staff are friendly and diligent. There are safes in the rooms, but I didn't feel the need to use mine. Breakfast in included, either buffet when there are enough guests, and from the menu when there are not. I did find the breakfast a bit boring after a short time, and I was disappointed that, as a long term guest, I was not given any consideration for special requests, like scrambled eggs or french toast. Even orange juice was limited or rationed, even though there was a cooler full of it in the lobby. The restaurant and lobby bar are open 24 hours, as is room service. The dining room is on the street level, and is a sunny spot for lunch or coffee. As I was finishing my work there, they added an outdoor terrace. The food is very good, and not unreasonably priced. There is also a good business lunch if you are in the hotel at lunchtime, but it is a bit pricey compared with other eateries in the area. While I had a driver for business hours, I had no car of my own. It is a brief walk to the bus line to downtown, and Uber is very quick and cheap. Unless you are on a very good expense account, don't take the taxi offered by the hotel. Uber is a fraction of the cost and very reliable. There are many amenities in the area. There are a couple of buffet cafeterias, a couple of restaurants, a few hairdressers, and a Sport Life gym with a pool. All about a 5 minute walk, and I am not a great fan of walking.There is a great little coffee shop, Mazurek, practically across the street, and Lviv Croissants is just around the corner. The rooms are spacious and well laid out. My room (a double standard) faced the street. One wall was nearly all windows (which opened), and the room received the sun all day. There was little disturbance from street noise. The hallways were rarely noisy, even when the hotel was full. I originally rented another room to use as an office, but later, when things were winding down, I relocated the office to my room. The staff was flexible, helpful and prompt in rearranging the furniture to accommodate work tables and chairs. The hotel also has a couple of conference rooms, a large one and a smaller one. They are popular and always busy. They were willing to negotiate a lower room rate for my long stay. Laundry rates were very reasonable and quick, and I had all my laundry done there. I am returning to Ukraine soon to work for another extended period, and if I am posted back to Lviv, I will definitely be staying at the Nota Bene and I recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Lviv, only a short distance from the centre.

Nice, quiet room, comfortable bed, nice breakfast buffet, competent and helpful staff. Big enough flat screen TV, but no 'Western' TV channels. It is situated in a residential area a brisk 50 to 60 minutes walk to the historic center of town, but a tram line passes close by. But anyway, I found it worthwhile to walk. If I travel to Lviv again, I would probably choose this hotel next time, too..

“Average Business Hotel”

I stayed for week at hotel and face bit of problem during stay. On first day, heater stopped working when it was snowing out side. I stayed for week at hotel and face bit of problem during stay. On first day, heater stopped working when it was snowing out side. I reported to night duty man however he was saying it is working whereas it was not even doing warmer a bit. then they give small heater in room for use however in 10-15 min it will do power trip happen in room and power supply stopped working so it was no use. This guy was not ready to accept that Heater was not working and not ready to provide alternative room ! after 2 day, there was another person at reception and i discussed my problem and he came to room and suggested if in hour this is not resolved then he will make sure that i will get new room. Luckily when i went for Dinner, this guy solved heater problem !! Also for Breakfast, for 2 day out of 5, they didn't serve buffet breakfast. It was fixed option for breakfast !! Not even good option either.
