“Pleasant Stay”

I had to stay a day longer than planned and spent a night at this hotel. Nice rooms, great showers. We had the Thursday Night Barbecue and it was a feast. The food selection was ample. I enjoyed the barbecue salmon and prawns.

Me and wife with 3 kids ages 14,11,5 stayed here for 5 nights in April it was a last minute booking with flights and breakfast that cost for 5 of us about 2.5k. The hotel room was v nice for 5 of us - 2 showers and 4 toilets. Television was a let down and wasn't working in one room and none of the channels were English. The view from the v large balcony ( not every room can have this size and view) was breathtakingly beautiful I regret not enjoying the view more. Behind the hotel are mangroves and beautiful blue green water and plenty of water sports - we went on a boat ride which was v relaxing and then a speedboat at night which was not that wow and we went on a doughnut boat which was nice but scary because we didn't have any assistance and I had to be Captain of the ship 🙄- these boat rides were quite expensive between £50-£100 The breakfast is v poor compared to the quality of the hotel they really need to improve this and probably the only reason I would not return- we ate with vouchers from a limited menu at carluccios- not good enough and probably reason I could not give it 5 stars. Everything is quite far away from this hotel- its actually apartments (a lot of workers stay here) so expect quite a few taxi rides - fares £20 a day minimum if u want to eat out and go site seeing. The staff are fantastic and will go out of their way to make sure everything is spot on. They will get you discounts on everything at this compound. This resort is like a luxury Docks - it's a hangout for rich arabs and the night walk is just phenomenal- you need the weather- it was 27-32 degress everyday We went UK 🇬🇧 Easter time and surprisingly it was not busy because schools all over country had different holiday times we think. There is a rooftop swimming pool quite small probably ok for 20 people at one time to swim in and the wonderful thing was there was hardly anyone using it all week we were there- so this became the highlight of our holiday roof top swimming beautiful scenery very hot weather - just bliss. Next door hotel is nicer called Antara but no doubt more expensive with v expensive spa options, but with an outdoor non private swimming pool so for a family that likes privacy our hotel was better. This hotel is in such a beautiful area if u didn't leave the complex you wouldn't lose out because it is enough - there are a few restaurants, a Waitrose ( v handy) and a Starbucks. Lastly the staff need a call out Lady Lyn and her team make your holiday Brilliant- they are calm collected and v friendly and they know what they are doing. Overall I would say a 4 star hotel - if a buffet breakfast was added and TV was working then could say it is 5 star - price we paid probably a bit steep. Food options in Abu Dhabi were top class. Our full holiday was a real amazing week with many happy memories.
