Recently stayed here for two nights and it was one of the most positive hotel experiences I have ever had. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly and helpful. Even the housekeeper wished me a good morning when I passed her in the hallway. I decided last minute to stay for an extra night and wanted to keep the same room, and the reception staff made this process very straightforward, which I appreciated. There was a lovely lady working the dining area during breakfast - sadly I didn't get her name (I remember she had dark hair, glasses, seemed to be around her 40s), but she was incredibly welcoming and kind, and made the breakfast experience a positive one (which may seem strange, but as an incredibly anxious person travelling solo, walking into a large dining hall full of people can be very daunting). The food itself was also of very high quality, and plates/utensils/eating areas were very clean. Also, for anyone looking for convenient snacks or drinks at short notice, there is a small cubby area opposite the reception desk where you can grab what you want and pay for it at the bar. The room was pretty clean. My experience working in hotel housekeeping management means I can be a little more diligent about checking room cleanliness than the average traveller, but I couldn't find anything serious to complain about. There is evidence of weekly/monthly tasks needing a little more TLC - for example, mould in the shower corners and dust on light fixtures - but in general the room itself was up to a good standard, bedding was clean with no marks or trapped hair, and the carpet had been thoroughly vacuumed. The bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa. My room had a shower (unsure if other rooms have baths as an alternative), and it was easy to use and the water was pleasantly hot. There are bottles of shampoo and body wash included in the shower, and a helpful sign in the bathroom indicating that other items can be provided for free at reception. The room also includes an iron, ironing board, clothes hangers, hairdryer, heater and spare bedding. The room had working air conditioning, which was much appreciated. At the time of writing this review we are in the middle of a heatwave, so it was wonderful to come in from the hot weather to a room that felt refrigerated! As far as local amenities go, the location is optimal - there are multiple supermarkets and coffee shops within walking distance, as well as a pub directly across from the hotel itself. There is on-site hotel parking but it needs to be paid for (using a machine outside the hotel). At the time of writing, parking for 24 hours cost £6.00. All in all, a highly positive experience! I'd definitely recommend staying here, and I look forward to coming back in the future.

This was my first time staying with the Holiday Inn Express chain. I really enjoyed the stay and I will definitely stay with Holiday Inn Express again. The car parking was convenient for the hotel. The staff are fantastic. I really liked the vending machine in reception for essentials, I think that is such an excellent touch. The room was lovely and clean. I liked it that they had a small digital clock on the TV which was a lovely feature. The hotel is really modern. The breakfast was an excellent experience. The gluten free range and customer care is excellent. It is great that they provide gluten free bread and cereal. Both the gluten free bread and cereal were delicious. Also by the buffet they had a whole gluten free menu with the list of items from the buffet which were gluten free. The buffet was amazing. The food quality was fantastic and the buffet was well stocked. This Holiday Inn is perfectly positioned as it is close to Bristol City Centre and close to the M4 and M5. I would highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Bristol Filton. I will definitely stay with Holiday Inn Express again. Just to let you know that there are two hotels with the name Holiday Inn down this road so make sure if you are navigating to this Hotel that you put in Holiday Inn Express Hotel Bristol Filton into the sat nav as the Holiday Inn Bristol Filton is a different hotel to this hotel. This Hotel is located opposite Sainsbury’s and by The Fox Den.

“Good Night Sleep in Great Room, Value for Money”

Great value, lean and very comfortable room. Seems quite new. Away from the city centre so quiet although next to the main roads. Great value, lean and very comfortable room. Seems quite new. Away from the city centre so quiet although next to the main roads. Felt safe right next to a government premise and lovely pub which we didn’t go but looked really nice from outside. Staff at breakfast were all attentive, friendly and helpful. The quality and the choice of cooked food buffet was rather poor but considering the price we paid for the night including breakfast, it was okay. There was a parking charge, £6 per night which doesn’t really justify for them to charge as there was no gate and it is not in the city, built up area, The room was well designed, equipped and spacious and we loved it very much except the quality and smell of towels. I know it is not a luxury hotel but everything else of the room was more than average for hotels of the class.

“A/C unit very loud”

We were given room 32. The A/C unit was very loud so we reported to reception and asked to move rooms. We were then placed in room 49, where initially it seemed ok. But wait for the A/C to kick in and it's even louder. By this time we'd unpacked things and had children with us and we felt embarrass… more

We were given room 32. The A/C unit was very loud so we reported to reception and asked to move rooms. We were then placed in room 49, where initially it seemed ok. But wait for the A/C to kick in and it's even louder. By this time we'd unpacked things and had children with us and we felt embarrassed to report again to reception, it was too much of a nuisance, so we had to turn the A/C off and put up with hot room. I'm not able to attach video to demonstrate sadly !
