My partner and I had a mid week break here. We loved it. We stayed in the old manor. The room wasn't huge but one of the best we've stayed in for a long time. It had an actual wardrobe instead of 5 hangers on the wall as many big name hotels have now. Also drawers and plenty of space for clothes and belongings. Lovely. The bed and pillows were comfortable (and I'm fussy about my pillow). The view wasn't good but we were out most of the time so not a problem. The breakfast, which was included in the price, was really good with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The two restaurants we dined in were also very good with the same choice of dietary options. The spa was nice, also included in the price, but the treatments were expensive. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for getting around the New Forest with lovely little villages near by. We plan to go again and will stay in one the more modern rooms to see how they compare.

'Mum and me' have just returned from Carey’s 1-night B&B and evening meal package combined with SenSpa’s 1-day spa experience, and I cannot speak highly enough of the entire visit. From start to finish, everything was wonderfully managed. The reservations process was seamless, check-in was quick and easy, and our room overlooking the garden was both beautiful and immaculately clean. The dining experience was equally impressive. The evening meal was delicious – the pork belly starter was outstanding, followed by a perfectly cooked chicken schnitzel for the main. Breakfast the next morning was exceptional, offering one of the best selections I’ve seen in a long time, with a wide range of both full English and continental options. The spa day itself was superb and incredibly well organised. It also included a lovely Thai two-course lunch, which was a great addition. A special mention must go to Natasha, who truly was a “hostess with the mostest” – she took the time to clearly explain all the facilities and treatments, which made us feel completely at ease. Our treatments were outstanding: My mum had the Plant Power Body Massage with Holly I enjoyed the Herbal Poultice Massage with Onsri, followed by an Eminence Facial with Pat The quality of the treatments was exceptional – honestly some of the best we’ve experienced in the UK for quite some time. It wasn’t just the products, but the organisation, professionalism, politeness, and overall attention to detail that really stood out. We both left feeling like “a million dollars” 😊 While the initial cost may seem high, when you break down everything included, it offers fantastic value for money. Most importantly, we achieved exactly what we’d hoped for – feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. A huge thank you to all the staff who made our experience so perfect. Best regards, Catherine

Family Wedding here years ago, so it HAS BEEN a good place, that’s just it, ‘has been’. Money needs spending to update this place, could be great again! Location great, restaurant service great, rest not so, reception, cleanliness, need boot up backside! Can’t get by, with just good food, need much more these days. Booked garden room, wanting door onto the garden, as shown in picture, to be told we were Upstairs with a VIEW of the garden ! NO Lift !!! Hubbie disabled, so never again! With competition so rife, there’s soooo much better to choose from, for around same prices. They’re not even on the starting line!
