Had an amazing time at penny hill, everyone was so lovely! A massive thank you to Leah who helped us with the booking she’s an absolute diamond ! I would 100 percent come back! Food was amazing the breakfast was unbelievable! 10 out of 10 for us !!

I took my daughter to Pennyhill Park for her 16th Birthday. 🎁 We stayed in the deluxe suite called Goodwood. On arrival, we were greeted by Maggie a member of staff who was extremely helpful, kind and friendly. We were shown to our room of which a member of staff called Arefa, had kindly decorated our room for my daughter‘s birthday. My daughter was so surprised, the room was decorated beautifully. On arrival to the spa, we were greeted by the team, Ellie, Natalie, Olga and Sunny, of which they extremely polite and very welcoming. We used all the spa facilities which were 10/10. The bedroom was extremely clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The shower and the bath in the room were excellent also. In the morning after having an excellent sleep, we went down for breakfast. There was so many options to choose from and the food was delicious 😋 . I would definitely recommend this hotel and spa. I recently stayed at Pennyhill Park and came away with mixed feelings. On the positive side, the facilities are excellent. The spa is genuinely outstanding and easily the highlight of the stay beautifully designed, well-maintained, and a great place to relax. The rooms are also very nice, with comfortable beds and a high-quality finish. In terms of the physical offering, it certainly feels like a five-star hotel. Where it falls short, unfortunately, is the service. On arrival, we had to queue for around 10 minutes to check in. Our room wasn’t ready yet (which was fair enough as it was before 3pm), so we went for a drink but it took around 45 minutes just to place an order and close to an hour to actually receive it, despite it not being especially busy, from a few tables nearby seemed like a lot of orders had been messed up Dinner was a bit of a mixed bag. The food itself was very nice, but the setting in the more casual restaurant didn’t quite match expectations. It didn’t really feel relaxed or premium more just a bit underwhelming and slightly out of keeping with the rest of the hotel, reminded of a buffet style all inclusive vibe ( for a £215 meal this isn’t the one) I’m aware they have a Michelin-starred restaurant, which may offer a different experience, but the more accessible option only a 9pm slot left didn’t feel at the same level as the rest of the property. The same service issues carried through to breakfast the next morning nothing terrible, just consistently slower and less attentive than you’d expect at this level. Overall, I’d say this is a very strong four-star hotel rather than a true five-star experience. If you’re going primarily for the spa and aren’t too concerned about service levels, you’ll likely have a great time. However, if you’re expecting slick, attentive, five-star service throughout, it may fall a little short — especially compared to other hotels in the same category and at these prices

First the spa - this was excellent. I don’t think I’ve been to a better spa. I found the staff helpful but they were very unhelpful for my other half, not sure why. Our treatments however were very relaxing. Hotel was lovely and our room was very nice. For a hotel of this standard I felt there should be fresh milk offered not Uht milk. Also no shower caps in the bathroom. I was surprised no turn down service. Our biggest problem was the bathroom taps didn’t run cold. We did tell the receptionist about this and they said they would inform maintenance. I don’t think this was done as we had to use bottled cold water to brush our teeth. When we mentioned it at reception when we left it was obvious nobody had been in. We got an email when we got home saying they looked into it but all was ok. Not sure how, as it was definitely hot water coming from the cold taps! We ate at latymer. Due to a few dietary restrictions they changed one of the dishes which sadly neither of us thought was up to a Michelin standard. The fish on the second course was slightly overcooked and again lacking something. Mains and desserts however were very good. Staff were lovely. We opted for the icon wines. Whilst I appreciate they use a coravin I always prefer when the wine is poured in front of me not from a decanter, measured elsewhere.
