“Great option when staying in Bath”

Great experience. Lovely hotel and such helpful staff. We stayed overnight, the room was great, lots of space, a shower and separate bath. Lots of extra touches in the room including a coffee maker, a variety of teas, water and fresh milk. Great stay and would highly recommend.

Really loved the stay! Great staff and lovely to accommodate… my only qualm is breakfast is not included but if you book it it’s definitely worth your while! Staff are lovely and options are fantastic!! Definitely less stress trying to find a breakfast place for the morning

This is a lovely comfortable hotel in a great location. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and internally soundproof. There was however noise from the street outside, despite being on the fourth floor. I had specifically requested a quiet room, but the room overlooked the street with the jazz bar opposite and was two steps from the lift. The bathroom was lovely with great toiletries. Some issues with this hotel however are: 1. Rate was expensive 2 Once you book you receive continual emails with suggested add ons, which of course you can pay for. We opted for renting bathrobes and slippers. We were immediately charged on check in, however we had to find them ourselves, by returning to reception and asking for them. 3 The reception is directly opposite to the automatic opening front door of the hotel. This means a continual draught when standing at reception, which carries through to the restaurant, if you are unfortunate to be seated close to the entrance. It also means cigarette smoke smell from outside travels through even to the bar area, also near the entrance. This is not the staffs fault but a design flaw. But reception is not entirely a private area. 4 Issues with the hotel restaurant. We ate both mornings and evenings in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, but disorganised. You can self serve from the buffet or order from the kitchen. Our experience was that the first morning the food came out an hour after we ordered, after we checked with a waitress ( the first one disappeared) The pancakes were cold and the full English was missing an egg. The second morning the full English came quicker but was stone cold, and after the waitress apologised for forgetting to order the egg again, which caused a further delay. Reason given was the restaurant was busy. To me it just needs organising. Why not seat the people who want to order from the kitchen at breakfast in one section and assign dedicated staff to them to take orders and check on timings- if the orders are overwhelming the kitchen, they need a second cook. Staff were friendly but just all over the place. At one time the manager was in the coffee section and our latte came out after 45 minutes. Evening menu is pricey for what you get and stays the same each night. Fish first night took an hour to come out and was tasteless. Burger was delicious the second night and came out in a reasonable time.
