“Stay this time was OK!”

Came last year and wanted to give this another go. Parking onsite and at the side of the hotel or there is a pay and display across road. Came last year and wanted to give this another go. Parking onsite and at the side of the hotel or there is a pay and display across road. Checking in service was fast, friendly and efficient with a female. We was on third floor room 331. Corridors clean, smelt like fresh paint walking to the room. Room itself was and smelt freshly pained, clean and had towels, tea, milk etc provided. Few snags to the room that could do with patching up pictures taken but nothing major. The floor boards was the only downside to our room they were noisy, I was expecting underneath us to complain, just walking from the chairs to the toilet or to the kettle was noisy. We went out for food and upon arriving back at the hotel the bar was closed, I asked the gent if its opening, he informed us that due to the private function going on its closed. I stated we was not told about this upon checking in nor was it stated on the website. Then asked if we could get a drink from the bar in the function room and come back out to sit in the lobby/seating are as we wasnt ready at 8.30pm to go bed. He said no unless you are with the function your not allowed to go in. He expressed there was a sports bar up road but we wanted to relax in the seating/lobby area and have a drink in the hotel. Would of been nice if he offered to get the drinks we wanted and paid on the card machine at reception but this never happened, so off to bed we went. Hotel itself is good for adults, started to get upgrade with freshly pained areas, the hotel just needs to clarify when booking that if functions are on the bar in the lobby/seating area will be closed or better still be equal to all paying guests and cater to all guests not just those on the function nights.

We had a great time rock n roll weekend .our room was hot .Sea view .number 102 .clean nice bathroom. No room cleaning asked for clean towels nice and fluffy .the restaurant was chilly .food OK edible .the food area could do with a good clean .surfaces were not very clean .but the staff were excell… more

We had a great time rock n roll weekend .our room was hot .Sea view .number 102 .clean nice bathroom. No room cleaning asked for clean towels nice and fluffy .the restaurant was chilly .food OK edible .the food area could do with a good clean .surfaces were not very clean .but the staff were excellent in all areas. It was closing the day we left march 9th. For refurbishment. We enjoyed our stay but hotel needs a lot of TLC .tram stops and bus stops outside hotel that was a bonus .
