“Nearly perfect”

I was a little apprehensive after seeing some of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised throughout our whole stay. The good bits - We were upgraded to one of the cottages/suites that look out over the sea when we arrived. One of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in, and very much appreciated with a toddler to have the living space. - Every single member of staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Mina (I think) was a real star checking us in and giving my daughter an activity pack. - The location was incredible. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, pier and town. - Room was super clean and quiet! You couldn’t hear any of the other rooms/cottages at sllz The not so good - The breakfast was better than I had thought based on previous reviews, but I definitely didn’t fancy any of the hot plate eggs as they just didn’t look great. Instead I recommend asking for fresh poached or omelette instead. - There were no teabags in the room. Only a little thing (and I’m sure the staff would’ve got me some if I’d asked!) but it’s just nice to have a choice when there’s a kettle and coffee machine! - Parking felt expensive but I think that’s a being so close to Bournemouth beach thing more than a Marriott thing. Overall, I’m a converted Marriott fan after years of staying in Hiltons (I do love me some loyalty points…!) and have now booked several more stays around the country this year. And we will definitely be back for one of those cottages again in the summer when the pool is open!

Stayed over on a friday to attend to a business meeting the following day. The hotel is located down a congested side street in an amazing cliff top location with stunning views. The hotel on the outside looks smart and looks every bit a Marriott. The hotel car park is quite small so best to ring ahead to see if possible to reserve a space iam not sure this is something the hotel offers but would be very handy The hotel staff from reception,bar and breakfast were very customer focused. I stayed in a twin double family room ( 150 ) on the first floor with side sea view bed were very nice and big and there was a good comfy chair and a desk with mirror. There was a small fridge with 3 cartons of complimentary water a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee and biscuits. The bathroom was very clean with a fantastic shower with complimentary soaps n body wash which is alway a nice touch. The room lacked a guest welcome book showing local attractions and transport links this would be handy especially being a tourist destination. The resturant which is owned seperatly to hotel which provides all the guests with dinner and breakfast. I did not try evening meal as there was no in room menu showcasing whats on offer. The breakfast was well below Marriott standard and extemely disapointing. Bacon was thick and chewy and the rind looked under cooked. There was no coffee machine with a selection coffee unlike a premier inn who for 9.99 can offer this service on there unlimited breafast. The mushroons were tasteless as if boiled instead of fried. Overall it looked good but was luke warm and not even worth £5. I understand this is a franchise Marriott hotel and there does not seem to be any standards being given to the team in the resturant. The main lift was out of order and had to use a small staff lift Overall it was a good peaceful stay and relaxing.

“Hotel needs a refurbish”

We only stayed one night on this occasion. Have stayed a few times over the years. Our room was big and spacious. Freezing cold on entering so we had to boost the heating up. We only stayed one night on this occasion. Have stayed a few times over the years. Our room was big and spacious. Freezing cold on entering so we had to boost the heating up. Very large bed but it was very uncomfortable far too hard. We didn’t eat here this time but had a drink in the bar. Chairs needed replacing or mending. Location is great though. We used to live near by so location is important to us so we can visit friends. We probably would have had breakfast here but told it was Buffett only which wasn’t what we wanted.
