One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in the UK! We booked five rooms for a family half-term getaway, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. While some of the rooms are a little dated, the double rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and perfectly functional. Considering the beachfront location and the half-term period, the price represented excellent value for money. What really made this hotel stand out were the communal areas. The reception, bar, lounge, and walkways have a wonderfully traditional British feel, with much of the Victorian character beautifully preserved. The gardens were a particular highlight — relaxing in the deck chairs overlooking the grounds was a real treat. Despite it being half-term, the outdoor areas never felt overcrowded, and the children had plenty of space to run around and enjoy the warm weather. The staff were exceptional. From reception to the bar and kitchen teams, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to Sarvar and Paulo at reception, and Hannah and Remy in the bar area. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensured all our needs were taken care of throughout our stay. The level of service was truly impressive and exceeded our expectations, especially for a UK staycation. Before arriving, we had read some reviews that gave us some concerns, but our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Any minor issues were far outweighed by the outstanding service and hospitality we received. Thank you for helping create such wonderful family memories. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

“Nice stay but in need of TLC.”

I had a basic single room on ground floor with frosted window. Extremely small, when you got the window to slide open slightly the ‘view’ was a very small quadrangle with empty whisky bottle and other rubbish. I had a basic single room on ground floor with frosted window. Extremely small, when you got the window to slide open slightly the ‘view’ was a very small quadrangle with empty whisky bottle and other rubbish. The external walls and windowsills were in severe need of a paintbrush (see picture). The bathroom was likewise very small but recently redecorated. To be honest it was very like a prison cell. Thankfully I spent little time in there and it was a reasonable cost.?The food was basic but nice, plenty of it and the breakfast was great. Staff lovely. Gym and spa excellent although jacuzzi out of action as it was last year. Energetic young performers. . Great location on the seafront. Lovely view from spa over pier. I had a lovely time despite the poor accommodation. Please give the external fascia some TLC,

The Royal Bath Hotel excels on location and the atmosphere of the communal areas, including well kept gardens (which, though scenic, were somewhat less than tranquil due to the noise level of the children there but that’s expected for half term) The room was relatively small and some fixtures and fittings were not in a great state of repair. That said, it was functional and not lacking in amenities. My main complaint is it was very warm; even more so than expected given the weather and given my experience at another hotel in Bournemouth the night before. I think this temperature issue may be specific to the West Wing rooms where we stayed The heat and the mattress (not the most comfortable) did impact sleep quality somewhat In all I consider the value for money to be decent; the main strength is the location and the main weakness is the sleep quality
