Exceptional customer service from the manager Leanne Nunney. There was a issue and Leanne immediately did her best to accommodate and rectify the issue. Fantastic service 👏

The room itself was okay, but unfortunately it smelled strongly of cigarettes. It was obvious that someone had previously been smoking in the room, as there were cigarette butts outside the window and ash all over the window ledge. The room itself was okay, but unfortunately it smelled strongly of cigarettes. It was obvious that someone had previously been smoking in the room, as there were cigarette butts outside the window and ash all over the window ledge. The hotel did offer to move me to another room, which I appreciated, but by that point I’d already unpacked all my belongings. The bare minimum I expected was for someone to remove the cigarette ends and clean the ash from the window ledge, but this was never done despite me raising the issue. On my second day, I hung the “Refresh My Room” sign on the door before going to work. When I returned at around 3pm, the room still hadn’t been serviced, so I just took the sign off as I was only staying one more night. I also found the morning receptionist to be quite rude when I complained about the cigarette butts, which was disappointing. That said, the evening staff completely changed my impression of the hotel. Every member of staff I came across in the evenings was exceptional—always friendly, smiling, welcoming, and with fantastic communication and customer service skills. A special shout-out to Iqrah and Sez, who served me my food tonight. They were both brilliant and are a real credit to the hotel. If it wasn’t for the outstanding evening staff, I would have rated this hotel one star. They’ve genuinely earned the extra two stars and are the reason I’ve given it a 3-star review.

Bitter sweet at this hotel . Hotel itself was stunning and beautifully clean a pleasure to be in and the staff were absolutely lovely ! Bitter sweet at this hotel . Hotel itself was stunning and beautifully clean a pleasure to be in and the staff were absolutely lovely ! My low rating comes from the food the menu in Ambers sounds amazing but the food massively under delivered . My lamb arrived so underdone that the fat was unrendered and made the meal indelible and unpleasant . To be fair we were given a refund for the meal so we got up and decided to try again with breakfast . However I found a hair in my beans and the sausages were still very pink in the middle . To add insult to injury the coffee offered at breakfast was instant . No lovely bean to cup coffee for breakfast here but again lovely staff made me a proper coffee from the machine behind the bar ! So lovely hotel but wouldn’t choose to eat here if we stayed again !
