“Poor breakfast”

Comfortable clean room. Evening meal was excellent good service by Oliver and Gareth .Breakfast was totally different ordered cooked breakfast took half.an hour to arrive was lukewarm with half a mushroom and a piece of tomato skin very disappointing

We've stayed before. Came for an overnight due to a family event in the morning. We've stayed before. Came for an overnight due to a family event in the morning. Reception has been moved to the pub bit, as we found out once we unloaded the luggage, so repacked the car and checked in. Then unpacked. Upstairs back room, very quiet, instant afternoon sleep. Ate in town early evening, just as well as after a good night sleep and shower breakfast was on the poor side. Polite and pleasant staff. A little rushed, sadly the cooked food arrived while cereal continental bit was still being eaten, and it wasn't great. Egg overcooked, black pud and shroom too, sausage just about cooked - a bit blonde, chipped crockery, with bland beans, unusually left half. Bacon heavily salted on plate and in wifes bacon sandwich, we did complain when asked. Maitre d gave us a discount on brekkies, but I'd rather have had a good start to day in stomach. Easy checkout. Will return probably, hoping breakfast chef has improved. Reasonable price, otherwise happy.

“Bad night sleep.”

We arrived Friday 8th May, 2 adults & 2 grandchildren 4 & 6. The room was good 1 double & 2 put up beds. We arrived Friday 8th May, 2 adults & 2 grandchildren 4 & 6. The room was good 1 double & 2 put up beds. What a shock when I put the children into the put up beds every time they turned over the spring made a noise. Middle of night 1 of them woke to say the bed was hurting them ,put them in the double bed and nyself and hubby had the put up beds yes the springs kept digging in made a very load noise when turning. Yes would go back but not as a family ,I would just book the double bed.

Booked for 2 nights, room clean and functional. Breakfasts were fine with good friendly service. Unfortunately our first the evening meal was a real disappointment. Booked for 2 nights, room clean and functional. Breakfasts were fine with good friendly service. Unfortunately our first the evening meal was a real disappointment. Ordered 2 starters and 2 main courses, after 45 minutes the two mains arrived but no starters, staff offered to take the mains back and keep warm but that did not appeal so cancelled starters. My main was OK but my wife's sea bass (£20+) was overcooked and dry. Brought to the attention of staff who offered 30% discount on the fish. When bill presented there was no deduction and had to be resolved by another member of staff. Needless to say we dined trouble free in town the next night.
