“Sunday lunch and cabaret!”

Never fails to be brilliant! Best Sunday roast in Brighton absolutely lovely! Fantastic cabaret as well we loved it. The food is absolutely fantastic and such good value can’t beat it and the staff always lovely and hospitable - ten out of ten and more!!!!

Haven't been to Brighton for over 36 years but reneber poping into legends for a couple of pints. At time I felt relaxed and nice environment. Well came and stayed in hotel and was amazed at the proflism of staff. Some a little weary until they get to know you but that a side apart good attitudes. Very impressed bye the cleanest of the hotel expecially the rooms kept clean and made up. Couldn't of wished for better accommodaten and will be returning with delight. Omg the roast dinner on Sundays is the best. Hope establishment goes strength to strength,thanks for making my stay a great memory,only for this year I be back x

“Good value, friendly & inclusive hotel”

I love this hotel. Staff are great from the people who serve breakfast through to the security at 2am. Rooms are compact but always clean and good value for money. There’s a nightclub underneath - it’s a good place to finish the evening. Door staff ensure the atmosphere is inclusive.

You cannot fault Legends for its location, right on the front overlooking the beach, the one remaining pier and the sea. The rooms are small but well appointed and maintenance throughout the premises is of a very high standard. My sea-view room was perfect for people watching; during the European heatwave in late June, folk were swimming at 4am! I found the shower tray very slippy and, on several occasions, nearly came a cropper. My TV wasn't working and, although it was the World Cup, I was happy to watch it on my tablet, although ITVX thought I was abroad so wouldn't let me! (They did offer me a room change, but I was settled in and didn't do it. A maintenance guy did sort it on the 2nd day of my stay.) The Room cards say breakfast starts at 0700, but it doesn't, it is half an hour later. You can opt for a traditional English or three types of poached eggs on muffins with Hollandaise sauce, which was perfect to have something different on each of my three mornings. The young man on night duty didn't take kindly to being told he shouldn't be vaping indoors; his arrogant response was not typical of all the other staff who were all really friendly and keen to help. I had lunch on one day; ham, egg and chips, which was just the job. Their menu offering is pretty basic fare but clearly suits their market. Owing to a glitch, they had taken two deposits from me in April. Having experienced the reception computer crashing several times during my stay, it's clear they need to spend some cash on making improvements to their IT. Despite giving them a print out of my original failed booking, as well as an extract from my bank account showing the duplicate payment, they still haven't repaid my £26.50. One member of staff even had the temerity to tell me it was my fault for making two bookings, rather than their dodgy IT. In summary, great location,small rooms, well maintained premises and decent breakfasts.
