“Excellent short break”
Excellent stay. Short walk from the station. Short walk into town. Very quiet no need for ear plugs. Excellent value. Very clean. Good atmosphere. Service is excellent. Rooms are spacious. I would definitely stay here again. Two Wetherspoons within walking distance.

“Great 2 star hotel”
Good Value IBIS hotel. Rooms a bit dated but clean comfy bed and fantastic shower with good soap and hot water. Easy checking in. Staff polite breakfast staff friendly and helpful. We stayed at the ibis Carlisle City Centre whilst on our way to Gretna. The hotel was easy to find and very central, only a five minute walk from the main station. “Not great but not terrible”
So this place wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either… The rooms weren’t overly clean with dirt all round the skirting boards and grimy floors. The beds were rock hard and not great for getting a good nights sleep. Also we only got one teabag so couldn’t even have a cup of tea each on arrival… more
