Carden Park Hotel is a lovely countryside retreat that offers a peaceful and comfortable stay. The surroundings are beautiful, making it a great spot to unwind. The rooms are well decorated and provide a cosy, relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast is served buffet-style and features a great selection, catering to a variety of tastes and setting you up well for the day ahead. The standout feature, however, is the spa, it’s truly the highlight of the stay. While it can be a bit busier than expected at times, the quality of the facilities more than makes up for it. Overall, it’s well worth a visit, especially if you’re looking to enjoy a top-notch spa experience.

This a lovely estate with tennis, golf, spa, gym etc. We went for the Afternoon Spa 2pm to 6pm. The Spa is separate to the hotel and has 2 bars/restaurants - one indoor and one outdoor. Robes, towels and slides are provided. There are 2 saunas, 2 steam rooms, 2 pools and several jacuzzi. There are cute pods to relax in. Spa -tenders will bring you drinks at the press of a button. The changing rooms and Spa are very clean and tidy. Some guests should note that spas are for relaxing so do not so talk loudly in the pools! Thanks to Troy in the Spa Garden for being so welcoming and looking after us. We had a courtyard room with a balcony overlooking the Spa. Beware that some balconies overlook the car park. If you have a Courtyard room, you have to go outside to access the bars/restaurants so take an umbrella/coat. Some of the rooms are quite far from reception etc so if mobility is an issue, check before booking. The car parking isn't very near the hotel but there is valet parking. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Great to have a fridge with water and fresh milk instead of that awful UHT in capsules. Dinner in the Brasserie was ok - nothing special. Breakfast is buffet but with an egg station for fresh eggs and you can order kippers, haddock etc. Staff bring round tea/coffee. There's a good selection of food but the orange juice is dreadful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We'd certainly visit again.

Arrived for a much needed relaxing spa break. Checked in the hotel, girls on the desk were lovely and welcoming. Had lunch in the bar area. Think the sandwiches were pre-made as the edges were rock hard. Checked in to the spa (the bit we were most excited for) Looks absolutely amazing. Went into a nice quiet room looking out & looked so peaceful from here. Every area in the spa is very aesthetically pleasing, looks really nice & clean. Had our treatments, which were ok, we weren’t keen on the plastic wrap they place on your back for the mask to work. Felt awful peeling that off. We were cold in one of the relaxing room so went to the inside pool area. Watching from the window at how crowded everywhere was getting . People constantly walking through with flip flops and talking loud, not very relaxing. Decided to go outside. Music so loud , like radio tunes. People shouting. Alcohol drinks all round the full pool and full hot tubs. Staff dancing & singing shaking cocktails. Literally like an all inclusive resort. Far from the relaxing spa experience we were searching for . Finally got chance to get in a hot tub , followed by a member of staff saying watch your feet and continued to scrape the bottom of the hot tub with a cleaning mop like device whilst we are all sat in it. Then watched it get dragged across the floor. Lovely! When the music went down in between songs it was so peaceful all you could hear were the birds chirping and water (that was quickly ruined by ‘another one bites the dust’ being played) Found a free pod to sit in thinking if we shut the door might get a bit of peace. Nope, music blaring in there too. Just couldn’t get away from loud noise. All the sun loungers had stuff on by this point. Only seats free were the tables by the bar area. Dread to think what it would have been like if it was raining as there was only about 8 seats round the indoor pool. And there was at least 40-50 people there. Decided we had had enough so went to our rooms. Lovely rooms , big bed, I had a balcony in my room, so was nice to sit out & relax finally in peace. Lovely rainfall showers. Went downstairs for dinner. Staff were all nice. Soup really nice, treacle steak cooked to perfection. My mums fish wasn’t cooked long enough though was soggy in the middle. Desserts were delicious. And the lovely young waitress heard it was my birthday so bought over a little happy birthday plate which was a really nice touch :) the dining area is absolutely beautiful looking out at sunset. Really relaxing & calming atmosphere. Retired for the evening back to our rooms. Beds are nice & comfortable. The pillows are the best. Rooms were cold on our return but have the air con to heat up and did pretty quickly. Decided to have breakfast delivered to our rooms as didn’t want to face the feeling of like a cattle market like the spa. Wanted to keep the relaxed feeling going. £7.50 per room to have delivered. Breakfast was nice (ordered orange but got apple juice LOL) but still a lovely brekkie to start the day. Lovely gardens and lake out front to walk around too. If you want a lovely hotel break, music and drinks flowing this is defo the place (if you get good weather) But if you want a calming, relaxing spa break to reset do not recommend here. It’s pricey but i thought it was fair for what was included in our packages to be honest. Overall, I did enjoy the place and would return with my hubbie or friends to get away , it just wasn’t what we wanted this time. Or what I was expecting.
