Cowes, a small yachting town, is steeped in nautical history. There are still many buildings of historical interest in the vicinity. Two castles were built in Cowes in 1815 using stone from Quarr Abbey in Ryde, after the monastery was dissolved by Henry VIII. The castle in West Cowes is now home to the Royal Yacht Squadron. “Another Lovely Short Break”

“Brilliant venue, Friendly staff, Great food!”
Great venue. I visit here whislt working on a project nearby on the weekends, the staff are always brilliant and food is great. I was served by Nicki who was friendly and attentive, as were all of the staff! Would highly recommend visiting.

“Place to enjoy”
We did not stay at the Inn, but we had a very good diner there. Complements to the new chef who prepared us a very nice meal. I appreciate the fact that the dishes were heated and that our dog was welcome. She had her own menu to choose from and a personal cushen. Thank you Nicki for the kind servi… more
