I stayed here on two different occasions in February. I like older character properties so normally I'd like a place like this. The positive aspect was the front desk man, Oussama, who was very welcoming. First time I stayed was in a so-called 'deluxe double' room. It was a decent size but everything was badly in need of updating. Everything in the room was ancient; the shower needed deep cleaning, and the bed itself was like a marshmallow - no support whatsoever. The second time I had a single room, which was not relaxing due to being really small. No room for anything except sitting or lying on the bed. I stopped by the nearby pub, New Moon, a very local place full of billard tables and darts where they inexplicably charge 5 quid for a coke. But the night I was there, a atering company was doing hot dogs and hamburgers for £4 (they do this only when the local football club is in town). The Barrington might suffice if you need an inexpensive place to stay and you are aware of the drawbacks. Do not under any circustances park on the road outside the hotel.

“A decent option”

It is a bit of a gem considering the price in comparison to accommodation on the area. It was quite noisy but the room was well equiped and fine for my needs. The big issue is of course the location, oddly found in the middle of a housing estate I'd stay there again though
