Overall, our stay at the Crawley Premier Inn was okay, but there were a few things that would stop us from returning. From the outside, the hotel looked a little dated and not as modern as most Premier Inns we’ve stayed in. The rooms were the usual Premier Inn standard, although there was no air conditioning and the bedroom window only opened very slightly. During our stay, the temperature was over 30°C, so the room became far too warm for two adults and two children to sleep comfortably. The bathroom was also very small, making it difficult to move around while bathing two children. The food was fairly mediocre. One thing that surprised us was that breakfast wasn’t the usual self-service hot buffet we’ve experienced at other Premier Inns. Instead, the cooked breakfast was made to order, and we waited around 20 minutes for it to arrive. This isn’t ideal if you’re looking for a quick breakfast before heading to Gatwick Airport, so it’s definitely something worth considering if you have a flight to catch. There also appeared to be a lack of staff. The same two or three team members were covering reception, the bar and the restaurant. They genuinely deserve a pay rise for managing to be in three places at once! That said, every member of staff we encountered was lovely, friendly and helpful. Despite clearly being very busy, they worked hard to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel also has plenty of parking, which was a real bonus, and it’s only a short drive from Gatwick Airport. Overall, while the staff were excellent, I personally wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of air conditioning and the breakfast setup, especially during hot weather or before an early flight.

“Great hotel for an airport stopover.”

Stayed here for 1 night as an airport stopover. Out room was in the annex. Good size for a family and bathroom looked recently refurbished. It is advertised with no air conditioning but there is a fan in the room. Nice walk into Crawley town which has a lovely Italian. Free car parking and lot… more

Stayed here for 1 night as an airport stopover. Out room was in the annex. Good size for a family and bathroom looked recently refurbished. It is advertised with no air conditioning but there is a fan in the room. Nice walk into Crawley town which has a lovely Italian. Free car parking and lots of spaces. All the staff were friendly. Breakfast is cooked to order. Overall a pleasant stay.
