I honestly don't understand what these other reviews are complaining about. To me it seemed like a perfectly acceptable 2-star hotel. This hotel was absolutely fine for what I needed it for. A night's quiet sleep while working nearby. What I liked: There was a friendly, attractive woman who checked me in. My room was clean. The shower was good. You could hear sheep in the distance at 7pm. Less good: There aren't any convenience stores or places nearby. You'd have to drive out to something for dinner. The room I stayed in wasn't huge but it was a good enough size for one person. Would I stay again? Definitely.

We booked this hotel for 1 night, we were flying from Gatwick the next day. The room was basic. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. There were toiletries in the bathroom which had been used. The hotel doesn't have anywhere to eat and we found a pub about 10 mins away. The parking was confusing as when you park in the carpark the signs say to pay. When we booked in the young lady said we had to put our registration in their machine. I explained we had paid and she said we still had too. It was confusing as to whether we should have paid and the young lady didn't seem to know. All in all it was ok for somewhere to stay before we flew the next day

We booked this hotel for a weekend getaway to reset our marriage. The room was clean enough, though it could definitely do with some updating. Yes, there were a few bugs, but you’re in the countryside, so it’s somewhat expected. We didn’t really encounter the staff much apart from check-in, but they were pleasant enough. The grounds could do with some maintenance. The door to the “go3 Executive Suite,” which includes a sofa and bar (unused), leads to the conservatory. Off that sofa and bar room is another room labeled “go3.” We weren’t sure if the whole suite was meant to be one space, but the door was wedged open into it, which felt a bit odd. The hotel has loads of potential to be amazing but definitely needs better guidance. It felt more like a self-catering room. A bar would be a great addition given the remote location. There are no food options at all in the evenings, and soft drinks can only be purchased between 3 and 11 pm, which was inconvenient. While we enjoyed a pleasant stay, it’s probably not somewhere we’d return to, though it may suit others looking for a quiet countryside break.

So, I’ve stayed at a neighbouring hotel before ( little foxes), and this is very similar. It’s not fancy, or plush, but it is a bed for the night at a reasonable price. I stayed in a single room (111) which was very small, still, it had a fridge, kettle, tv and minute bathroom with shower. Bed was comfy and lovely crisp cotton sheets. Slept great. However, this hotel is in a wooded area, and where you have woods, you have spiders… and there were two huge ones in the corners of my room, so housekeeping needs to keep on top of this!
