“Friendly, Comfortable No Frills Stay”
I was visiting friends in the village and the Wheatsheaf was within very convenient proximity of them. The hotel offers value accommodation and as such is pretty basic, frill-free and tired in places. My room was ok - clean with a comfy bed and hot drink making facilities. “Good value, comfortable place to stay with excellent breakfast”
Comfortable room, although challenging under the sloping roof. We found the staff to be helpful and the bar well stocked. Breakfast was excellent and from a varied menu. The kippers were a little hard, perhaps they were grilled and not poached.
