“Comfortable stay and good location”
A last minute booking turned out as a great overnight stay. Room was comfortable as was the bed. Vibrant decor in our spacious room. Breakfast was excellent as was Anna. There were many choices all of which were lovely.

“Brilliant overnight stay, amazing manager”
Absolutely incredible overnight stay last night, Anna the manager couldn’t have been more helpful and so welcoming, she really made us feel great on arrival and again this morning for breakfast. “Wonderful and welcoming overnight stay with a dog”
Excellent welcome, great room and made for an enjoyable dog experience, with doggy breakfast of eggs and sausage. Went out of their way to create a really good cooked breakfast before the usual service times (as we were doing the Durham parkrun). We would definitely stay here again, quiet location … more

“Five star hospitality”
Farnley Tower guest house is situated just outside the centre of Durham on a quiet, leafy residential avenue. Parking is free, making it a perfect place for anyone driving in. “Hidden gem”
My husband and I had a one night stay for his birthday. What a beautiful hotel. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious. It's a peaceful location and only a quick walk into the centre! The breakfast was lovely. We would definitely recommend and will certainly return 👍
