Just got back from another amazing stay! The room was super cosy, clean, and really well-equipped – loved the toiletries and tea-making facilities. “Great location, clean and comfortable”

Gorgeous hotel, great location, beautiful interior with clean and comfortable accommodation. The breakfast buffet was really good and the service excellent. Reception area is actually the bar area and not staffed so wait times to check in and out were longer than usually experienced at a hotel. Sad… more

Gorgeous hotel, great location, beautiful interior with clean and comfortable accommodation. The breakfast buffet was really good and the service excellent. Reception area is actually the bar area and not staffed so wait times to check in and out were longer than usually experienced at a hotel. Sadly the lift was out of order and this did cause issue for us with mobility issues. In itself not a criticism of the hotel because these things happen but we were not told, or offered any help with luggage or asked if it would cause problems . That was disappointing. We only stayed for one night, but it was challenging as our room was 2nd floor and as far away from the stairs you can get. More nights and we would have needed room on a lower floor and nearer to the stairs. Even on checking out no one ever asked if we were okay or if we'd had a good stay. The hotel is stunning but customer focus needs sharpening.

Hotel nicely situated in what is described as ‘Lower Harrogate’ but still within easy walking distance of the main attractions - be it tea rooms,valley gardens or other historical buildings The building itself is a well established old style hotel which has been renovated and refurbished over time. There are two very large bar areas - one of which is used as the breakfasting room in the morning - as well as serving hot and cold food and snacks throughout the day. Both of these bars are light,airy and well presented and decoratively fine,especially the large dome in the main bar. There is also a large outside seating area for those warm summer days. We had breakfast on both mornings of our visit and found a reasonable selection of food although the continental side of things was a bit lacking. However there are no problems with the traditional cooked breakfasts which went down well. The hotel does the usual selection of bar meals throughout the day - grills,fried food,sandwiches etc which were adequate without being anything really exceptional- rather a typical bar menu available in most of the Harrogate pubs. As regards the rooms we stayed in one of the suites situated on the ground floor - this had been recently refurbished and was very clean,spacious and offered everything we needed. Yes you do pay a bit more for it but we considered it worth the money. I cannot comment on the standard rooms on the upper floors where there are mixed reviews - so would recommend the suites if possible Staff were in the main attentive and we had no issues during our stay. So in all a generally good two day stay away. A good idea is also to avail yourself of the Inn App. This gives you a few perks and freebies - we took advantage of some including two free drinks if you forego the cleaning service for a night. So that was a good saving of £10+ from the drinks bill. However be aware of the following issues which may cause concern The hotel lift has still not been repaired. You are advised of this on checkin and staff will assist with baggage to rooms on upper floors. However I you have mobility issues with stairs you may have a problem. I’m assuming there must be a service lift somewhere as housekeeping have equipment on the upper floors but cannot confirm is this would be an option to use to gain access to upper levels Car parking is charged at £10 per night with limited first come / first served availability. There are three disabled bays also available where you need to display a blue badge. If you display the badge in the disabled bay it’s free of charge for parking. What was never confirmed - but was implied - is that unless you use the disabled bays you will be charged even though you have displayed the badge However there are numerous council on street and off street parking facilities available nearby. Chargeable during the day but not between 6pm and 8am and free for blue badge holders in any event. Be mindful however of the street adjacent to the hotel which is privately owned and run by a parking company whose t&c’s are somewhat different. So the choice of parking is variable but adaptable. These of course are our subjective views. Others may have their own opinions of what’s on offer. We would likely return again if in the area but as Inn Collection have a number of northern based hotels would visit another of those first.

Room ok - fire escape immediately outside window. Did not feel safe to open. No aircon.
