My boyfriend and I came here for dinner after going to the driving range on a Tuesday evening. My boyfriend had been before and told me how good the pub food was. I can confirm - the portion sizes were amazing, the quality was great, and the price was so good. Dan provided amazing service behind the bar - he was exceptionally friendly and professional! 10/10 would recommend coming here if you’re looking for a great local pub in the Hayle area :)

“Interesting stay but fabulous service!”

We arrived to our accommodation, the pub, and decided to have an afternoon snack and a beer. We shared a nachos for 9 pounds ($18 Aus) which was more than enough for the three of us. The staff were friendly and service was prompt. We were shown our rooms which were slightly smaller than expected but clean. We had an ensuite and were provided all the basic amenities. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night sleep. We could hear people talking outside but it wasn't disruptive. I think on a weekend that would be different. We headed downstairs for our evening meal and were greeted by the barman, Aaron. I can say that Aaron provided top service and was very approachable with any issues. We ordered our dinner which was half the price of all the other pubs we have visited over the last six weeks. The food didn't disappoint and was tasty and delicious. Great value for money. The clientele in the pub were interesting and there was a lot of swearing with inappropriate and unacceptable language. We chose to ignore this until one of the mature age females was sitting with her back to us, when a puff off smoke came from above her head. The customer was vaping inside the pub near the eating area. We bought this to Aaron's attention and he quickly dealt with it. The customer decided to drink elsewhere. Thank you Aaron! The pub was in the main street and close to shops, restaurants, chemist and convenience store. We were the only persons in the pub overnight and the cleaner didn't arrive to 9.30am the next day. We had to exit via the fire door so you had to make sure you had everything. No breakfast is provided with this stay but there were a few bakeries along the way. I would recommend this pub during the weekday but not on weekends, if you are a fellow traveller (walker) for price value. Our bags were being transferred by an external company and the pub was accommodating in the pick up and delivery. Overall, this was a pleasant enough stay and made it an interesting night.

“Comfortable pub accommodation”

Centrally located pub in town with recently refurbished bedrooms. Good shower room Quiet on a Monday night but I guess could be noisy to stay at weekends. Large sports bar with good range of drinks. Pub food was average but cheap. Dan who showed us to our room and the barman, was very helpful
