“A great place to stay”

We had a wonderful stay. A charming old thatched inn but with modern facilities. Our room was spacious and very clean. The staff were all delightful and very helpful. After a good night's sleep, we had a first rate breakfast. We can fully recommend the Greyhound Inn.

“Super Happy Impromptu Saturday Lunch”

Impromptu stop for lunch. Fantastic homemade, super quality food. Staff very friendly, happy and joyous - looked after everyone. Large selection of driver friendly drinks; ales, lager, stout and wines. Very happy with our pit stop on our journey. Will make a bee line next time. Thank you.

Thank you Greyhound Inn for a magical weekend. What a super place to stay where we will definitely return. Food was first class, staff could not have been more helpful and bedroom was perfect. The bathroom was large with a great walk in shower. Husband needed certain food and nothing was too much trouble for the catering team. Service was friendly and very professional - better than many 4 star hotels we have visited. If only all places could be like this. Our 2 Italian Spinone dogs were welcomed by everyone and they enjoyed the doggy treats provided . We would recommend the Greyhound Inn for your traditional country stay if you want quality and super value for money

Our experience with the Greyhound Inn was fairly positive, we've just got home and I'm shattered. The worst of that is the sleep quality, and we both have similar reasons. The bed for us both was very uncomfortable. i had asked for extra's to soften the mattress and the business provided. My partner said the bed was like sleeping in a Banana. I didn't feel that, I found the mattress to be too hard for me. Even with something to soften it out. So in all the Mattress rated 1 out of 5. Very uncomfortable. - Sorry Greyhound Inn. My partner said it was noisy. Considering the thickness of the walls and the heat of the place, I wouldn't call it noisy from noise in passing traffic. It was noisy by others in their rooms though. The people who were in the room next to Fenny Bridges, may have had a Learning Difficulties Adult/Teenager. They could be heard making alot of noise into the early hours of the morning. i was going to complain but we were only there for 2 nights, Was it worth it? No not really, we put up with it. The noise wasn't TV noise either. The pressure of water was powerful, and I found the shower very beneficial, but it had its moments, and would fluctuate from hot to cool every now and then. I could hack it, my partner couldn't, he has cold sensory showers, his cold shower kept turning hot. - Need I say more? I didn't raise it with the staff, we only had 2 nights there. Apart from the massive pot holes in the car park, which were going through a make over on the day we left. And I mean Massive! At the entrance to the property and further in as well, the parking was great! The food is excellent, I had a Rump steak for my Birthday and it was delicious, cooked to perfection and super tender. It was a chance, Rump steak can be dodgy when it comes to quality, but this one was excellent, a large plate of fries with it too. My partner said the Burger was brilliant and everything tasted really good as well as was beautifully displayed on the plate. Facilities in the room were also excellent, Tea and Coffee making with a full sized kettle, a large TV fitted to the wall, a working remote control, the usual things, a wardrobe, a large round sofa which I struggled to get out of, it was very low and when you sat in it, you disappeared to the bottom of it. Not recommended to sit in, but it was comfortable. Getting up from it, was another story. Lastly House keeping was very efficient, the Bathroom was spotless, the Thatched Inn is extremely warm inside. I do recommend it for people that feel the cold, we struggled with the heat after not acclimatizing to it on the first night, the 2nd night was like a heatwave. Please read the information about the heating subject in their room rules? The heat is up for a reason due to the age of the Inn, and all older buildings of this age also have a high temperature setting too. The Greyhound Inn is no different. Ideally suited for people who feel the cold. Lastly a warm welcome by the proprietors of the establishment. When we arrived, and Breakfast which comes with the price of the night and is FREE is an excellent choice, cooked to requirements and they make sure your food doesn't have the allergy food you can't handle. Attention to detail is excellent. If it wasn't for the bed, I would say we will return. But for us the Greyhound Inn we wont be returning to. The plus size of this place is it is user friendly for families with children, in the summer months there is alot of seating for outside. It is big inside and it has been beautifully looked after. Fenny Bridges room, looks like it has recently been redecorated, everything was spotless. Loved the way the wall paper went around the thatch roof in the room, that was really quirky and unique. It is at the front of the property and overlooks the car park and surrounded green countryside. For a 3 star property, it is a luxurious stay and closer to that extra star, if all the rooms had the same furniture in. I do recommend it to others. The village is very pretty.
